I've been replaying Gwendolyn's boss fight with Brigan for OVER A MONTH now and I still can't beat him. All I can seem to do is dive bomb over and over when he turns the other way and that takes forever. Once the enemies stop coming and the butterflies stop appearing, then I have no other source for phozons (other than the valkyrie. and even then it'll take the whole battle to get enough phozons from her) so I can't use more than two Phozon Burst attacks, and even that doesn't seem to do too much.

I tried restarting the level so that I can go back and get more HP items but I don't even have that much money so the most I could afford is two pieces of cheese.

Is there ANY easier way to beat Brigan? I'm really desperate. I'm on the brink of selling this game because I haven't progressed at all for over a month. There's got to be something I'm doing wrong. Please, I really need help here.

My advice: Napalms are your friend. Get a LOT of napalms. They are very nice to use on VERY BIG bosses. ;3

Exactly wat level are u? Ya shouldn't have much problem with Brigan if ya are anything around level 20+, plus Gwen can block if not mistaken.

Keep leveling up yer character and yer spear before the battle, and with Photon Burst, ya can do short work of Brigan in no time.

BTW, did ya know tat ya can keep Photons up to level 9, which means that ya can do 4X Photon Burst in battle? This could be enough to kill Brigan.

Yes... do what gobi said. press retry and do the same chapter over again. (You will still be the same level you were when you retry!!)

"Retry" sets you one "ring" back from where ever you are at; useful if you're fighting a boss and don't want to hit "return". You can then wander around the map you've cleared and try and find more onions and material. Don't forget that chests appear much more frequently when you use 'low' attacks (equipping a luck stone helps with chset).

But he wasn't 'that' hard to defeat. Level 2 materal + onion = Napalm; x6 napalms = easy win.

And remember your Psypher level determines how hard you can hit and how much defence you have against attacks. Get it up as swift (if not swifter) than your HP level up until mid 20s in which case HP usually surpasses Psy level.

Also please note the four shields in his body those deflect damge but should peel off with a good amount of combos once all four are down the real fight begins DON'T AND I MEAN DON'T USE Phozon burst UNTIL ALL FOUR SHIELDS are Off

Oh yeah, forgot about the sheilds.

Gwen have the highest jump in any of the characters in the game and she could stay in the air for much longer (except for Mercedes). Jump up, and spear downward toward Brigan for damage. Do this a few times, and the sheilds should be coming off. Then Photon burst all the way.

Oh, look carefully. Sometimes, if Brigan knells down, your attacks won't do much damage so you probably wasting your Photon Burst.
