Exactly wat level are u? Ya shouldn't have much problem with Brigan if ya are anything around level 20+, plus Gwen can block if not mistaken.
Keep leveling up yer character and yer spear before the battle, and with Photon Burst, ya can do short work of Brigan in no time. BTW, did ya know tat ya can keep Photons up to level 9, which means that ya can do 4X Photon Burst in battle? This could be enough to kill Brigan. | |

Oh yeah, forgot about the sheilds.
Gwen have the highest jump in any of the characters in the game and she could stay in the air for much longer (except for Mercedes). Jump up, and spear downward toward Brigan for damage. Do this a few times, and the sheilds should be coming off. Then Photon burst all the way. Oh, look carefully. Sometimes, if Brigan knells down, your attacks won't do much damage so you probably wasting your Photon Burst. | |
