¿Which is your favourite and less favourite playable character? ¿Gwendolyn, Cornelius, Mercedes, Oswald or Velvet?

I'm only on the 2nd book, so I should wait a little more before deciding, but so far Cornelius is my favourite, followed by Velvet (haven't used her yet, but from fighting her, I thought that her chain attacks were pretty cool).
I don't have a less favourite yet.

I don't think much of us here have gotten to all 5 characters yet haha. I actually didn't like Gwen's gliding attack, I didn't think it did enough damage. Granted it was useful for getting rid of elements quickly, but when it came to full on enemies, it wasn't so effective (in my experience.)

I've finally played with all 5 characters:

Favourite: Mercedes

Less Favourite: Oswald

Mercedes is simply a killing machine, the fact that she doesn't have a POW gauge allows me to attack continuously and then fly away to re-charge ammo once I run out of it.
I didn't expect the little fairy princess to be this powerful.

Oswald is not that bad, but he isn't as good as other characters, while he has high HP and defense (or at least I didn't take too much damage from any attack with him) his special ability the "shadow form" isn't that useful if you don't have tons of unlimited power potions with you, and even if you do, the "shadow form" still consumes POW.

Heh, I was gonna make a topic about this. I don't like reviving old topics but eh.

Its kind of hard to decide between Cornelius and Oswald.

Oswald really gets the job done, when being mob'd with enemies. Thanks to shadow form. I know its a bit tricky to use at first, but once you know how it works its great. With Oswald I beat every boss he encountered in 2-3 minutes. Except Wizard and the Fire King.

You dont NEED unlimited power when in shadow form, Oswald's POW guage refills everytime he gets hit. So basically what you need is really really high hp, and pain killers. (You can use regeneration if you want =/)

My Least favorite character would be Mercedes, I dont get why she is unable to reload while in the air, or why she can't use any skills like piercing shot while in the air. I spend way too much time flying away just for trying to reload. And I rarely get a good score with her.

I have to disagree, I believe Oswald is the best character. I breezed through his book. I thought his shadow form, with the 2x damage move, was DEADLY. My least favorite is Velvet, I hated using her. She has the weakest attack out of all of them. I mean sure she was easy on the eyes, but jeez, she sucked! My second favorite was Cornelius, hes awesome with his spin attack. My 3rd is Gwendolyn, her Shadow attack with the move that does 2x damage is great. I didnt really care much for Mercedes, I dunno, I guess I just didnt like the reload feature very much....

Can't decide but I really liked liked Gwen and Oswald, Oswald's shadow form is pretty cool as for Gwen, well, she is simply pretty cool on my opinion, though her glide attak does not inflicts the same dammage you do when you are standing still, thats a fact... at first I didnt like Mercedes, but then I really got a taste for shooting stuff till it was dead... also... U Alchemy Mix = Unlimmited AMMO , that was pretty cool, after that, battles were no longer battle, they were slaughter .

Velvet is cool looking but I find her attaks pretty week, though I can say I got a least favourite character, she is the weakest out ofthe five.

1st: oswald
adv: strong and fast due to shadow form
disadv: combo wont stay put, hard to make more combo when u are on either darkova or gallons head.

2nd: velvet
adv: good combo, can reach 100+ in secs. and a good homing atk.
disadv:weak in atk power but dosent bother me much since she is able to kill

3rd: cornelius
adv: good combo and spin atk
disadv: weak against air since he wont jump so high and have to rely on his spin atk to grap hit on air enemys

4th: mercedes
adv: no pow faint, can move when out of bullet. strong homing atk and good fire power.
disadv: slow at eating and slow at picking or hunting items. a slow character.

5th :gwendolyn
adv: good dive atk and an all rounder.
disadv: have to put the stick down to use items. relatively slow and hard to act fast in laggy situations.like she has 1 hand or something.

I love Oswald, Gwendolyn, and Mercedes. Those handle great. Of course Gwendolyn and Oswald have handicaps because they are main characters. Mercedes is great because she can fight long range, yet she does take heavy damage.

I think Velvet just sucks, it was like she was programmed just to be pretty, and nothing else. Cornelius is swift, and a bunny, but he seems to have a low defense.

So Oswald pwns, cuz he's my fave type of character and plays decently.

Pwning is greater than love for pwning is more intense. ^-^

Favorite: Mercades
non favorite: Velvet

1. Velvet because I really like using her chains
2. Mercedes because I like how she can fly
3. Gwendolyn because I like how she can sorta fly
4. Cornelius because he is easier to use than Oswald and i am not good with him
5. Oswald because I just cant control him well and dont really know how to use his shadow form efficiently

Velvet is the finest lookin girl of them all
