Drum Set and Game?

Hello there. I've been having a look at a couple of reviews after a friend recommended me getting this, and I was just wondering if it is possible to get the drum set and the game in some sort of bundle? I don't really want to go out for the special edition which has everything, as I have a GH3 guitar which I know is compatible with Rockband. If anyone could help me out then that would be good, thanks.

There isn't a package that includes the game and drums, but you can buy both separately... but you're looking at around $140.

Yes, you could do what Cdemon had mentioned. However, I don't see the need to spend that much money for only a game and a drum set.

With the Special Edition, you have all 3 instruments (Although the Guitar is crap, you can easily make it better using tape and some rubber bands) along with around a $50 dollar deal if you wanted to purchase the instruments separately.

You may be spending about 40 more dollars, but you'll get a major deal rather than buying the instruments separately.

True, thanks guys.

The problem I'm having is the pricing over here, I understand for the Special Edition in the US, it is about $150, whereas in the UK, it is anywhere between $220-300, which I think is a bit harsh on us. I think I may have to wait till the prices drop.

Ah, with that being the case, you either could wait it out for the price drop / get more cash for the game, OR do what Cdemon had said.

If you have a XBL Mic, you can use that for your game for Vocals. However, you may want to lower the sensitivity down to nearly nothing to sing into it.

re: Drum Set and Game?

Buy the game (disc only) from a shop over there and import the drumset from eBay.

Problem solved.

re: Drum Set and Game?

Cdemon, I checked on Ebay and shipping prices to the UK calculated to £30, with the drum set costing £20-25. I would only be saving about £10, so I think I'll just get the drums and game from the UK. Cheers.

Can I confirm that the GH3 guitar works on RockBand? And is the Xbox Live mic work well on the game (I doubt it but you never know)?

Thanks guys.

Guitar Hero II and Guitar Hero III guitars are compatible with Rock Band.

I prefer the official Rock Band microphone, but turn down the sensitivity to almost nothing on the Xbox Live Microhpone and it should be nearly as good.
