Well, there it is. Every song available to us in Rock Band is going to be downloadable free on Xbox Live for Rock Band 2. That's just saying, "Screw you, we have your money, buy the sequel!"

I, for one, can't complain. I never actually purchased this game. I just played it so much at my friend's house that you'd never know the difference! I will, however, plan on getting Rock Band 2 because I'll have virtually 2 games in one (although what I've seen of RB2's new songs hasn't impressed me much).

Anyway, just thought you should know that. It's gonna be a blast! And even if you did buy this game, at least you won't have to switch disks if you ever want to go back to Run to the Hills or Won't Get Fooled Again for old time's sake.

'09 release date means Rock Band 3 for UK PS3 owners. Seriously Rock Band (I guess it's Rock Band 1 now) comes out a month before Rock Band 2 is. That's a bit *bleep*ed.

Transferable DLC is awesome. If they made the setlist transfereable I may make a mess in my pants

NO. GH:WT ALL THE WAY!!1!1!!11! In all honesty, I'm going to either buy both of them (GH:WT as a Christmas present/thing I'll work for) and RB2 as a birthday present, or cancel my preorder on World Tour and pick up Rock Band 2, but I refuse to not pick up Rock Band 2.

Well, I think I paid $60 to just play the game a year earlier than everyone else...

I'm not aggravated that they're releasing the setlist for free (actually, I'm quite happy) but moreso that I didn't know I could wait a year to shell out for Rock Band 2 and have all the Rock Band DLC plus better peripherals, etc. They could have told us, at least...

Ah well, at least I can play classics like Tom Sawyer, Won't Get Fooled Again, etc. with all the newcomers to Rock Band, and I can play them in new online modes I'm assuming (Band vs. Band, Band World Tour Online, etc. assuming these features are implemented).

However, apparently this statement was quickly retracted and the editor said this is what he hoped would happen, not what will happen. I guess we have to wait until E3 to find out, speaking of which; it will be a blast this year. Gears of War 2, Guitar Hero: World Tour (to get annihilated by Rock Band 2! ), Rock Band 2, etc.

I really hope they can be downloaded separately. Or more logically, in tiers, because I don't want to waste my hard drive space with a bunch of songs I'll never play.

Playing the set list on Rock Band 2 will be cool. Does anyone know if they are changing the hammer-on window? That would be cool. I got so used to GHIII, I am having trouble adjusting to the small hammer-on window with Rock Band.

I think it is to, but it just makes things so easy, and it makes more possible for me.

Rock Band's too easy anyway. This is not a guitar game.

But maybe the next one will be. Personally, I want the singing to be done better. In RB1, it was more of an extra than a separate instrument.
