I've just got Guitar hero 3 for the xbox and on putting in the disk and starting it up I found that my rock band guitar was working and allowing me to move through the menu's. I didn't get as far as playing the game though as an update was available which i ran, subsequently when the game restarted the guitar no longer worked! Is this right and if so, can i remove the updates so it is back to how it was before and use my rock band guitar with the game??

Hm. If it was working, then take off the update and try to play it. You will not be able to play online, however.
