going round in circles have gotten to the part, where you need to rescue ashley from the church, but how do you do it?

u need to go down the path next to the church and keep going straight till u get to a lake then u should kill del lago keep going then you'll get the thing to open dah door:P

I'd stop playing there if I were you, Ashley is completely useless.
She just stands there, screams and gets kidnapped. She dies after one hit = useless

Don't stop playing there because it is a great game. She is almost completly useless. The only thing she does is allow you to get some items that you couldn't with just leon.

Well she is the entire reason you're doing what you're doing.

I wouldn't say she's "useless". She adds depth to the gameplay and an interesting challenge by making you think about the survival of yourself and her.

And yes, don't give up! This game deserves an entire playthrough at least.

She's useful the moment you get a suit of armor on her. 'Then' it's good fun

At least when you get that she can't be stolen which helps. Plus the attacks don't hurt her nearly as much.

Shes never gets stolen from me anyway, just always make sure shes behind you.

But in one of the parts you have to be away from her and they try to steal her, so yeah.
