I followed the following directions for the FREEALL and MIDAS cheats to be used in "Play Sims" mode (not Get a Life):

I did all of this and am having problems. I can get the cheat screen, I can buy the hot tubs, sell them, and get the 99,999 in the bank - BUT there seems to be a limit as to what my sims can buy/build. I am not buying extravagant things here...or building a monster house. The weird thing is, both my sims have good jobs and earn a very good salary BUT no matter how much they are raking in, they cant even buy a trash can or put a plant out front.

I did go to another neighborhood, started a new family, and went through the cheat again. Same thing happened. Even when I go to an empty lot, build the house (without a family even being a resident there), it runs out of money - and when the rich sims move in, they cant buy anything.

Note: they are able to buy food, pay bills, and give presents without deducting anything from their bank. I have even tried just buying 5 hot tubs and selling them - not to go to the full 99,999. I am at my wits end and would love some insight. Thanks!

Oh dear.

theres a limit on how much stuff you can buy when you go to buy mode theres this meter is it red?
if so try deleting a few items then buying some stuff think what can you live with out? what are you sims not really using and delete.
