I totally agree. I've always wanted a nice shiny tag under my name. A catchy color to for contributers/approvers/mods.

That just depends on how the tags would be obtained.

If the tags are obtained on a points per day/week/month basis then anyone would be able to get them, so long as they contributed, in a helpful way, to Gamegrep. This sort of ties in with what I said above about the moderators and approvers having to be up their game.

Thats what I was thinking, that everyone should have a chance to get the tags, not just the peopl on the 'all time' list. Just have to reach a certain amounts of points to get the tag and continue to get that certain amount of points in a certain amount of time to keep it.

I agree with DA. Gamegrep wouldn't be anything if people dind't post news. We helped make what the site it is today.
much like how wiki staff helped make a certain neowiki what it is now.

A little recognition and it also informs other neoseekers of a status. Much like a mod, super, admin.

I do see your points finalblade and I do understand what you are saying. I just don't think that gamegrep would get completely spammed because of these tags. Plus it won't the easiest thing to achieve. If people just post articles that no one is interested in, they would notice because most of the points come from hits, not the amount of article submissions. If the news story isn't that interesting then the person won't get that much points. Forcing him to post better news if he is so desperate to get a tag.

I think it should be "gamegrep approver" "gamegrep mod" and if contributer gets accepted "gamegrep contributer"

Can people get two tags? like a mod and an approver, or an approver and a contributer?

Thats how I was thinking it would be, so people don't just get tags for simple things. But would they still have to reach a gain a certain monthly points?
