Just noticed this a few moments ago that when reading an article with many comments, some with comments replying to comments, it can get slightly confusing as to which one is the latest comment.
Now I know you can instantly tell by the time stamped upon the comment but what if there are 126 comments and the latest comment is replying to the second comment within the article? That would mean I would have to scroll up, checking every timestamp until I find that comment. A highlighted box (such as when a post has been reported in the forums) I believe would be sufficient and quicker way of pinpointing the comment -------------------   | |

Anyway a good solid idea in my opinion, maybe not highlighted but maybe something similar like a small red symbol next to it? Either way would work and and benefit large amounts of comments articles. ------------------- | |

Everyone left.
 This does sound like a decent suggestion, I don't mind scrolling around but it'd be neater and be of benefit for other people commenting like Silver said. Having it say "New Comment!" or something of the like just seems tacky and unprofessional to me.
I was thinking perhaps we have the newest comment that you were linked to have a slightly blue shaded background in the table. Something simple and effective, yet classy. ------------------- Thanks Diamondflame for the Christmas Avatar.

As with the highlight of the whole comment's background, it will stand out especially if a shaded blue against other comments that have a white background (pretty much like a reported post in the forum but different colours) Either way glad there are others that agree with me  ------------------- | |

I think it would look a lot better if just highlighting the header part of the comment (the one that say's name, date etc.) instead of the whole comment. A light blue would be good.

Implemented something very simple. For articles that have a certain amount of comments a box will appear with a link to the latest comment.

That works pretty well. Would you be able to incorporate that into the links on the "Last Commented" or "Replies to your participated articles" somehow too?
