How about GHIV chronicle the history of Rock & Roll before hip-hop/rap and "Alternative" rock ruined Rock & Roll and music in general for all of us.Now,I know there are some alt-rock fans in here,so I included some early "grunge" music for them.

Ummmm.... to really to be thinking about GH4. I agree to a extant that all rock as bean smashed. but there are still some good rockers/ Matel heads out there. Buckethead Kicked ass with his new Jordan song he added that solo just for GH2. and I hop wan my band starts up we will passive rock/metal. I don't know. some of the 2000 rock and metal is good. Some.

Don't be an idiot...guitar hero 4 isn't gonna happen (atleast odds are) and if it was then I'm sure it wouldn't go by time sets. Guitar Hero 3 already has Miss Murder. If anything, MORE pop music will be added to the next one. (AFI's previous albums were quite good, but Miss Murder is pop)

Why would they make Guitar Hero 4 if their making Rock Band? If anything they'd make Rock Band 2 or expand upon it some more. Who's gonna want Guitar Hero 4 after Rock Band?

I do, and plenty of other people will. Remember, Activision makes Guitar Hero now, Harmonix (previous makes of Guitar Hero) make Rock Band, they're competing.

If they have great songs, I would want it. With no tier list particularly in mind, I'll just list some bands I want to see in there that we haven't seen.

I totally agree with having music from before the 2000's. But the majority of the songs in the GH series have been in that category(pre-2000's). So it's really not necessary, plus there are a couple good songs from this decade I guess, but I will agree that today's music generally sucks. And having a GH game designed towards just one type of music is a terrible idea IMO, because if they spend all their time on that kind of music, they may lose a lot of money in sales. If they do what they are now and try to appeal to all the groups with a song here or there, it works out better for Activision.
