I just beat it on Hard today . I was getting so pissed at the intro cuz you couldn't use hammer ons lol.. but i finally did it... long ways away from beein able to do it on expert =(

I've only beat it on medium. I gotta practice more. Stupid 8th tier on hard.

Question: I've seen a lot of people using a technique 2-hand tap for TTFAF. Exactly how do you strum?
Both hands leave the strumming thing during the extreme parts of the song... Is there an option to turn off strumming or something?

Ok, there are certain notes called Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs (HO/POs). These notes are the ones that have that glow coming out of the white dot in the middle. You don't have to strum those notes, provided you hit the note before it. Sometimes you'll have a long chain of them, like in the intro to Through the Fire and Flames which is in that video. For those HO/PO chains, you don't have to strum. You only have to press the buttons at the correct time and keep a combo. If you break your combo then you have to strum again and start a new combo.

Is that simple enough?

Ah yes I understand it. Therefore the intro to the song has so many Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs that you don't need to go near the strum for the first part?

Only if you're good enough to do the whole thing without breaking the streak.

Yeah, I'm nowhere near as intense at this as some of you guys. I play a song, beat it or fail it, then move on to another song. Wow, if you beat it on expert, though, because I only just scraped through on medium.

Also, it's a pretty obvious hint, but instead of trying the two hand thing, just get 3 coins and an elastic band and tie them around the green fret. Therefore you only need to use your fingers for the other four frets and play open at the green ones.

HOLY CRAP! I didn't know that's what the glowy notes were! That makes pretty much all the songs about 10 times easier than i had previously imagined!!!

Somebody named HellAsh finally FCed Jordan, on expert, on GH2. He made a live stream of it when he did it, and there's a video of it in the GH2 forum (for the PS2). I wonder how long it'll take for someone to FC TTFaF on expert. Or even if it's possible for someone to.
