You know how the strum bar clicks right?

Well, whenever I push mine down, it works before it clicks, and whenever I pull it up, it doesn't work until after it clicks.

Is that normal? I highly doubt it is, but I felt like asking.

Uh, no, that's not normal. It should work only when you click it. Guitar Hero guitars are known to give out and not work for numerous reasons. Mine is only about three months old and I take good care of it, yet as of recently, star power doesn't work when I tilt it, so I have to press select (which is hard if you're not used to it). Oh, and my whammy bar is really lose, and has been since I took it out of the box.

Only thing I can suggest is that if it's really bad, and still within the warranty, that you request an exchange (which you can do here), or buy a new one. I was going to exchange my old PS2 controller since the red fret button wouldn't work, and they got back to me, but I lost the receipt so I couldn't.

It's actually been like this ever since I got it.

Oh, I understand now. Definately not normal. I had a problem with my orange fret and the exchange took about two months. it's probably the best bet you've got, though.

Did it recently get wet? Someone cleaned mine with a spray surface cleaner thing and it did that. I waited a day for it to dry and its been fine since

maybe ur guitar just got damaged during shipping and when u bought it, it was broken.
