Now, I have GH3, but I don't a guitar, so i'm forced to use the controller. The problem is, when the notes are less than a mm apart, they're impossible to hit on the controller. The time it takes to pull the trigger in, let it out and pull it in again takes up the time of three of those notes. Because of that, I always get booed off stage halfway through the song.
Is this song entirely possible to beat with a controller?


Around 1:25 is the part where I can't see any possible way a person with a controller could do it. Even if there is an achievement for it.

But seriously, there has to be more then one way to strum with the controller.

Put your hand perpendicular to the top of the controller and tap like you would any of the other buttons.

cant be impossible though if its already been FCed on expert with a controller.

Tried it. Works better than holding it normally but it's still damn hard.

I seriously doubt you will be able to do it on the controller. I highly recommend getting a guitar somehow because to the that on the controller requires very fast mashing. I don't see another way you could accomplish it.

Well, it's not exactly IMPOSSIBLE but it can be a bit challenging. My first song with the controller was a song on expert on the bass, I can say I did better than my friend did on medium guitar, so probably with a bit of practice I would be able to, and you probably can too.

I have tried this song on Guitar and Controller. This is a pretty hard song but i am pretty shit with the controller so much better with the guitar, I would say keep trying but i would get a guitar. You can mostly get them of

The buttons don't spring back fast enough. Using two fingers results in the button being held down most of the time instead.
And I will get a geetar, but I need to finish it on hard for the achievement anyway.

If you absolutely won't get a guitar. Maybe a controller with turbo would work?
