Brings Back Memories...(to anyone who have seen me on the GH3 forum before.) It takes ALOT of practice, but it is possible.

I beat that song on my first try on the controller on hard I stayed in the green all the way through the song you've just got to have fast fingers!

i 5 starred this on hard and 4 starred this song on expert, so yes, its possible

Get the guitar, not just for the one song, but overall the game is just sooo much more fun with the guitar!

Here's the easy way out to beating Knights of Cydonia on the pad (360 standard controller). After the intro there will be a series of held notes, some will be for starpower. Use the analog stick (either one) and shake it, by the end of the SP part you will have enough, use it when you get into the low yellow\red and you will be fine.

After that, Raining blood and One will give you some trouble. All you need is practice to hit the notes in mosh and you will be fine. I can stay in the green the entire time on that song so I know what I am talking about

And for One, you will not beable to do it on the first try if you have trouble with raining blood and Knights of Cydonia but thankfully it is a tad easier however alot longer. Save up your star power the entire song and just hammer that left trigger until it breaks (not literally) with two fingers. Using two will make it a hell of alot easier. If you get it within 10 times I give props. If your arms get sore and you know you are slowing down pause the game and wait 10 minutes. Watch tv or whatever and come back. I will warn you, you will start slow but you will get fast again within a few sets.

i thought it was impossible but after about 10 tries or so i finally did it and when i get a cam recorder i will tape me doing it and i will even demonstrate that the controller is the only thing connected no guitars! I have trouble with One with a controller myself but I can do pretty much any song on expert except a select few. A tip for the controller if you guys didn't know already: For the parts of songs with alot of either yellow, blue, or orange notes in a row, you can hold down the button(yel, orange, blue) and hit green and red over and over and the notes will still hit. This doesn't work in reverse for green and red though.

now that i beat it again (2nd time)knights of cydonia on hard on controller seemed to get really easy.... i stayed in green for whole song and only used sp 1ce at the very end
