well i just started playing sonic again. used to have it on sega genesis. and now i have a problem every time i use the trees i just get thrown into a wall how am i supposed to use them?

They usually through you into the air and over. I don't know how they are throwing you into walls.

on the first level act 2 after the loop. yes i know there is another way. but i want to use the tree. oh and i usaly just stand by the tree and wait for it to through me. but still i hit the wall

well, if you hold the d-pad, then of course you'll get thrown into a wall, how ironic, you can't even complete level 2, lol.

easy all you have to do is use the double jump button (r button) then press towards the place you want to go when you get high enough:cool:
