What's so bad about it?
I don't have it yet, but I'm still going to buy it. I loved the first Obscure and would have to play this one just because of that.

I just beat the game last night, and honestly I think its pretty cool. Obviously not the best game I've ever played, but the co-op mode is fun, and even though its supposed to be a horror/survival game, its more fun and just for laughs.

This is a decent game. I bought it last week, and it's only $20 brand new. It's not the best survival horror game out there, but it is pretty fun and the puzzles are interesting. I also like the teamwork aspect. X-Play sucks, and the reviewers are idiots. They'll diss a game like this, and give overhyped crap like Halo 3 a 5 out of 5 everytime, guaranteed. That's why I don't watch it anymore.

I agree with V Mega, it only cost $20 new. C'mon man you can't beat that. I didn't play the 1st one so I'm enjoying myself. I wait and play late at nite with all the lights off. Man that 1st walk thru the graveyard tunnel was quite creepy. We gotta do something while we wait for RE5 & Alone in the Dark. Don't let Morgan Webb form your opinion.

So far I haven't heard a single comment on the actual game content to aid in any decision making.
I scanned the web..about a year ago now, for PS2 survival horror games, and Obscure was just that, so I looked it up. From what I could tell, it looked like another shitty teeny-bopper B-level horror movie, right up there with "If you die in the game you die for reals" and "ZOMG I got this cell phone text message saying I was like going to die and stuff!". At least that's what the character design, character names, and basic setup of the game left the impression of on me. The sequel, having just looked it up, appears to be the same bag of tricks, though since a sequel, possibly with some slight tweaks and upgrades. Now the basic concept sounds great, a co-op survival horror game. Why the hell haven't there ever been more of those, huh? How come Resident Evil: Outbreak didn't allow 2 players on the same console? Didn't even have LAN capability. Like Capcom would get off their asses and make a new PSP Outbreak. Anyway, just what are the serious flaws and achievements, in your perspectives, of Obscure 1 and/or 2? How do you rate it amongst giants like Silent Hill 2, and epic failures like any Mary-Kate and Ashley game title in existence? (which by default, are survival horror games)

I played the first one and although it was a corny game, i absolutely loved it! I was so excited when i found out in december that the sequel was coming out and bought the first copy I found! Both Obscure and Obscure: Aftermath are great!!!! The co-op mode is so much fun!!!

I'm still not seeing any real reasons, so I might have to look up that Xplay review.

Bleh, the xplay people are *bleep*s, just complain about everything~
I haven't played Aftermath, but the first Obscure was a lot of fun. Of course the characters aren't interesting really, and don't have anything real "special" about them, and the stuff they say is stupid, just a bunch of stupid teenagers. =D (I hear they're worse in the second game) But the game is still decent, very very fun on two players. The fighting and monsters are a bit like Silent Hill.
