Your Final Views? |
|
I have beaten the game, and has been accomplished for awhile. I can purchase armor in three out of four titles, I'm just too lazy to get the final. I got rank five of the Ebon Vanguard title on day one of the game's release, as an added mention. (I'm listed on Guildwiki.org under Monument Armor, Female Warrior.)
My views, far too short, not enough content. Dungeons aren't too interesting for me. I've never really been a fan of Fissure of Woe, Underworld, etc. I was hoping for extra PvP content, as that's all I really do, but they failed to show me that of which I was hoping. In the end, though I like some things, it really ended up failing me in what I wanted most. The Hall of Monuments isn't all that great, as the hype for it was mean't to be. I craved more, and recieved a handful of toys to play with, but now I'm bored of them, and want something else. ArenaNet, you failed me. Any other opinions?

I see you have a very strong opinion.I quit playing the game for a while after I bought my Wii so I am no master at the game. As for arenanet failing you I think you have to lighten up.I mean it is an expansion of the actual game after all. I bet you will get all that you are looking for when the Guild Wars 2 game comes out.

I can totally see where you're coming from, man. After completing the storylines, PvP is basically the only interesting part of the game that remains. Unless you want to collect your titles in preparation for Guild Wars 2 (which is very boring, imo), the only part of Guild Wars you end up playing is the types of PvP, which does get boring without any new features. I don't feel the same way as you do (in saying that ArenaNet 'failed') but I do wish that there were more updates with the PvP side of the game. PvP is still fun for me nonetheless.
quote RovertHopefully you're right, but I don't think they'll come out with a lot of new features. Guild Wars has already a vast amount of PvP features, so I honestly can't think of anything else they could do. Perhaps some PvP for the new races that they will be incorporating, but I'm fairly sure that's it.

I was disappointed with EoTN way to short for a start, it felt like I played very little when I got to the end.
Most of the armors are just reskins and don't look all that great. Some of the PvE skills in my eyes have ruined the game, NF was bad enough with DoA and people wanting high level lightbringers but now the whole game seems to be Ursan's Blessing Wars. Granted it might be effient but it's boring and takes little skill, yes I know the game also have H/H but I used to enjoy just going to a random town / outpost and helping groups through missions. I haven't played GW much at all in the last several months because of this, mainly when I do play I do a little farming get bored and log off. I used to farm like crazy and enoughed it but the market is so broken now it seems pointless to farm to buy rare items since Anet will only de-value them or they'll get farmed to death in the future. For example I paid 1.2million for my tormented weapon and getting that much gold felt like i'd achieved something them duping started, armbraces got copied, Anet didn't act quick enough then said they were leaving them in game. After that the EotN PvE skills were used to farm DoA very quickly now they cost about 200k. I'm not against people having rare items but they're supposted to be hard to get and feel like an achievement, and in my eyes you should only get on IF you're willing to put the time in. After all the rares in this game are nothing more than pretty skills, they make no real difference other than a status symbol or eye candy. The HoM is also a joke (Granted not as bad as it was now) but it just feels very limited and a huge gold sink in an already broken market. -------------------
