I think its supposed to be a game like starcraft just Tom Clancy style. I think they're called RTS's.

EndWar is a RTS game based on a futuristic War World 3. It is built for the console from the ground up and will feature many "ground-breaking" and "revolutionary" controls, schemes, and angles to give a very new feel to a not-so-new genre.
With a bit of luck we could see the very first console-RTS to be worth a damn. -------------------

Got sum info here u might like:)
In the EndWar story, the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan haven't happened. The United States is trying to end strategic nuclear war through an anti-ballistic missle shield with their ally, the European Union; Russia designs her own missle shield independent of the US or EU. As the major economies of the world consume natural resources at an increasing rate, Russia, the owner of most of the oil deposits, benefits from the skyrocketing price of oil and begins to upgrade her military, creating tension with the West. While the US is launching a space station that will house first-response military units, a terrorist attack against the launch pad leaves the superpowers on the brink of war. With the final module of the Freedom Star set to launch from Kennedy Space Center amid international outcry, it comes as little surprise when a group of terrorists attack the launch site. In investigating the source of the attack, the U.S., Europe, and Russian Federation find themselves at odds, rolling with unstoppable momentum toward full-scale global war. It is highly suggested that the game will serve as a tie-in with the events of the current three Tom Clancy series of Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell. The website makes references to a "Ghost Leader", "Crosscom", "Splinter Cell" and an audio sample of the Splinter Cell night-vision activation sound effect can be heard, all being trademarks of the Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell series. In a GameTrailers Interview with the Lead Designer, it has been said that the Ghost Recon team will be the Special Forces for the US faction, Rainbow Six characters will be promoted and be commanders in the European Union, also there has been something said about a "President Fisher..." (Possibly Sam Fisher the protagonist of the Splinter Cell series of games) followed by a laugh. The voice over in the trailer could very well confirm this. In an IGN interview De Plater said this about the setting of EndWar: "The setting of EndWar is a global conflagration but this first installment is focused on the North Atlantic Theatre of operations. Players will hear reports of events in other parts of the world - Asia, the Middle East, South America - but the 'theatre of war' in our game concentrates on the North Atlantic region." | |

The thing is, you can actually control the units yourself. It's not just an RTS. In the interview I think he called it an 'RTS Tactical Shooter'.
