if you stuck i can help ya on the main campaign and drop hints on some of the advanced challenges however level 18 advanced makes no sence at all first jump to next platform piece of piss the next one is impossible can for the life of me work it out,

and it may seem impossible but think 3d and remember to use portals everywhere they can go even a through small gaps as long as the wall/surface is the right type flat concrete like is the way to go.

I personally loved Portal.

The gameplay was amazing, and atmosphere was comical; yet creepy.

One of my favorites definently.

I haven't finished it yet, though it be a mini-game it's definitely a great game. Hell of a brain teaser.

Question: I've beaten the game and that's it, how do I get medals like for the achievements, do I just replay the levels?

Press up and down on the levels that have the word Bonus on it and it will be there. Complete all the bonuses and beat all 3 listed times/steps/portals to beat each.

Yeah, but there's more than the regular campaign. There's all those advanced missions and the timed/portal usage challenges. If they had some downloadable content for this game then that'd be sweeet.

Wow, I finished the standard game and now beating the advanced, which aren't that bad. I was wondering if anyone was having difficulty with the steps/portals/time Gold medals?
I only tried one out so far ad it was easy to gain silver, but gold seems unreachable.

dont get why ppl rush the game and then whine about it not lasting or being a mini game ?

so far i cant work out the adv level 15 in 14 portals can't be done i tell ya !!

also there will be an option for downloading more portal content i would assume no doubt the modders will be supplying them as they did for narbacular drop.

Ok, maybe I'm an idiot. I need help beating GlaDos. I get to the third component (the one she suspends in mid-air) and I can't figure out how to get it. Help plz.

To get the component of GLaDOS that's suspended in mid air, you have to put a portal on the wall above the component, fire one onto the floor, jump through so you come out of the wall, and try to grab it in mid-air. It may take a few tries but it will work.

i find tht way a lil hit and miss

i find dropping on the component more reliable course you have to aim the portal as high up as poss and move forward on average it takes me 3 or 4 tries to knock it down,

anyone now how to do the footstep challenges ?

they really seem impossible.

I dont understand how to do one of the challenges uning only five portals!? wtf! thats insane, and I think thats only for SILVER!

The one with five for silver, requires two for gold. If its the one I'm thinking of you have to put a portal at the bottom of the lift and the other portal on the lowering staircase. Pretty much skip the puzzles and go straight for the door for the medals.
