Ok I just beat HL2 episode 2, and I was wondering, will there be a sequel? If you forgot, it ended with Alex's father dying, and Alex crying. The only hint to a sequel could be the "helicopter" ride Alex and Gordon were going to take. So I think it will be about Alex & Gordon going to the ruins City 17, and "something bad happens". so what do you think will there be HL2 episode 3 or not, and if what will it be about?

I would hope so, it seems weird to end something on "episode 2"... plus it's an amazing game.

I'm pretty sure it was stated a long time ago that there would be three episodes.

Half Life 2: Episode Two hints to the plot of episode three revolving around the Borealis. It seems to be a ship with some super awesome high tech stuff in it, that Eli wants you to destroy (while everyone else seems to not want that to happen).

Anyway, there will be an episode 3. No doubt to that.

They were getting on a helicopter to go to the borealis at the end of episode 2. If you looked at the blueprints that are on the screen you'll notice that it mentions GlaDOS (the insane computer from portal) who was manufactured by aperature science, who owned the ship and made the portal gun.


it's probably of no consequence, but Lamarr the headcrab was in the rocket that had the satellite. that's doubtful to come up ever again (unless lamarr sets off something in the satellite and opens another portal)

in the easter egg section of the portal website it tells a little more about aperature science being the main competitor for government funding for the portal programs that they were each doing. so the borealis is likely to be a mobile black mesa. there isn't much info to go on about it, but the borealis "disappeared" so it may have launched itself through a portal, who knows where it may hove gone before showing up in the artic or what it may have brought with it.

i think there was going to be an episode 4 also, in the commentary for episode two it said something about HL2E1 to E2 the first half of the episodes.

There will be an Episode 3.

And there will also be an "Episode 4". "Episode 4" however is supposed to be a new story though but still using the same Source engine as Half Life 2.

There will be a third Episode.

The third episode will be the last in the half-life series.

Episodes 1, 2 and 3 are Half-life 3 altogether. So you've already played the start and middle of half-life 3.

Episode 3 will probably take 1yr and 5 months to complete because of the extended length of gameplay, like episode 2.It'll probably take maybe 8-9 hrs to complete the game
