Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?? In HL2 when i go up a ladder, sometimes down switches with up, eg i have to press up to climb down the ladder and vice versa. Am I missing something here? Thanks...

I believe that the direction you need to press changes depending on which way you are facing. If you are facing upwards, then up will move you up the ladder. But if you are facing downwards, then up will move you down the ladder.

At least that's how I think it works.

Ladders in FPS's are the worst. Oh how many times I've died in games from falling from ladders. And sometimes I can't get off of the ladder without jumping to my death. But the ladders in HL2 are much improved over those in HL1.
