It's not a sequel, no. It's the original HL2 with the two expansion packs and Portal + Team Fortress.

Actually, Half Life Episodes 1-3 are considered "Half Life 3" to Gabe Newell.

This is going to be the best deal for a video game, ever. I'd pay the 60 bucks for Team Fortress 2 alone, I've been waiting almost ten years for this game.

In the gamespy review it says expect around 20 hours of gameplay for single player. That must include time spent on Portal, so I was wondering how big a game is each episode?

HL2 ~15H EP1 and EP2 ~6 hours each. Portal ~1.5/2H and TF ~unlimited.
