Anyone old enough to remember Herschel Walker hitting the NFL after he won his Hiesman? I kinda thought he was a dissapointment. I know he was a super flexible player in the NFL rushing, passblocking, recieving and all but did any of you expect more out of him?


Also has anyone tried to make some of the historical players
that arent included? Or can you just rename #56 fort he giants to LT? #34, Walter Payton for the 85 bears and so oon. Cant his be done. Ithink it would be worth the time spenton doing this.

Since ALOT of players who deserve to be in the game arent (i.e. Montana, Bo Jackson, Lott, Payton, etc.) my freinds and i create them. But our trick is we go to their ALL Team (ex: for Joe Montana the ALL 49ers) and figure out what players he is usually by number. We then write down all stats including height and weight and make them. Did it with Lott and L. Taylor and they ROCK!

You have Merlin Olsen listed twice at 10 and 24 just to let you know.

I think you are also missing Gene Upshaw, and Mike Munchak.

Is anyone of those a Strong Safety? Just wanna know...

Also heres a question, What do the padlocked spaces have for description on how to get them? Is it that play another EA football game, and the EA racing game???

You have to have a saved pile from one of those games, then when you load Madden it will say you have unlocked those cards.

To "IBALKID" in particular...

I remember Herschel Walker.
He was supposed to be the next Jim Brown
or something like that, but his big error
was going to the USFL first and then to the
Cowboys later. He wound up being a decent
player, 1000 yards a couple times, and a
Pro Bowl or two, but never lived up to the
huge expectations.

ON THE CREATING TEAMS ISSUE...
I redo a team a day...
Since the "historic teams" basically suck,
I've reentered names and numbers for most of the
teams to customize a "Classic" set of rosters.
It is FUN AS HELL to replay all sorts of fantasy
matchups this way...
For example...
1967 Packers/1967 Cowboys (replay Ice Bowl)
1972 Dolphins/1972 Redskins (replay Super Bowl 7)
1985 Bears
1962 Lions
1981 49ers
All time best players to play for Falcons
A couple rosters of made up guys.
...to name a few...
A big frustration when you do this...
you can't change the "race" of players (although
you can change hair, height, weight, size, etc)
a frustration when you make old teams for whom
5 of their 6 deep backs are white, and you can
only do so much cutting and signing players,
and there's only limited space (i found out) for
created players, like 56 or so.

A big credit to Madden 2003 in that this game has a
lot of depth, with so many fun things and variations
you can do with it, as opposed to some games that you
do get bored with after a few weeks.
