Well, welcome to Call of Duty 4. It's been a success because it's different, because of prestige. ------------------- "You either die the hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain". | |

re: How long have you played? |
quote weskraudaonHow could you honestly think thats the sole reason its successful? The reason Call of Duty 4 is successful is for its overall feeling of game play. Its fast-paced game like Halo, with more realism. Unlocking weapons and perks adds a sense of accomplishment, as does the different levels of Prestige I suppose. But its not Prestige that makes it successful... If that really was the reason, then more people would be playing it than any other game. Sure, it was all the rage when it came out, but now people are going back to games like Halo 3 because they're more timeless. Call of Duty for is too repetitive. There's no map editing, saving films, the game type editing is minimal, etc. There's very little variety. And the feature that is the worse offender of that is, of course, Prestige mode. Look, there's nothing wrong with Prestige mode, its just not the best option for ranking in my opinion. Its the sole reason a lot of people end up quitting the game. I felt like I "completed" the multiplayer once I got all the weapons. Getting to 10th prestige would just make me feel like I've played for a long time. ------------------- ![]()
