re: Why go back to CoD4? |
|
That's because Infinity Ward knew they had/still have a good game which people enjoy playing. Whereas Treyarch know they *bleep*ed the game up, and everyone is going back to CoD4, so in a dire attempt to make sure at least some people still play W@W they have to release loads of new maps and double xp weekends, as that's the only reason why people are still interested in the game - and even that hasn't worked on people (like me).

quote JammasterEh no. That's only because W@W is less than a year old whereas MW is 2 years old. Treyarch are doing exactly what IW did at around the same time. MW had many double XP weekends throughout it's first year. In fact when Killzone 2 was released it was double XP 'weekend' in COD4 for over a week. -------------------

quote MnmfanCoD4 only had 1 map pack, whereas WaW already has 2 and Treyarch has also announced more. WaW isn't a terrible game though. If it had come before CoD4 then I'm guessing it would have just as much publicity. ------------------- ![]() I just killed you. Get used to it.

re: Why go back to CoD4? |
quote JammasterDLC is a developers way of trying to get players back playing their game. W@W already has 2 (and more on the way) because it's not as busy as they hoped. Everytime they release a few new maps they get more people back playing the game. IW however didn't need to lure people back into the game because the servers were (and still) as busy as ever. -------------------

re: Why go back to CoD4? |

I personally think that CoD4 has better gameplay period. As far as online goes, I am tired of people on WaW running faster than any cheetah, nevermind human, could EVER run. That, and CoD4 just seems more realistic. Infinity Ward seems to have actually at least READ something about the firearms they were using in the game. Most of the firearms in WaW are either waaaay to weak for what they really were, or extremely over powered. You can shoot a guy twice in the chest and once in the head with an 8mm Mauser, and he runs twice the speed of sound to your side and hits you once, across the map, with a Tokarev TT-33 in the leg and you die. Or say you are sniping with the PTRS-41, hit a guy in the center of his face, he goes into Second Chance, and kills you by shooting an M1911 through a wall.
