I completely disagree. I thought Splinter Cell was a very different type of steal-based espionage than MGS. Metal Gear was more of combat than stealth. I liked how Splinter Cell used the lighting as a part of the gaming experience and overall gameplay.
DA is kind of straining away from the original basis of Splinter Cell and with this upcoming, I'm expecting it to be even less than the latter games. Don't get me wrong, this game is going to be awesome but I would have loved to a classic style type Splinter Cell all the while incorporating the storyline which is epic. ------------------- ![]()

For me, playing MGS was to get through each area without being seen, I would rarely make contact with the enemy, and I was a massive MGS fanboy when Splinter Cell was out so I spose I didn't really give it a chance.

quoteWikipedia I'm pretty sure this is old news but what does everyone feel about the excessive delays? I think it's quite alright as long as this game delivers what we all want to see and presents us a quality game that shows it's obvious those delays were worth it. ------------------- ![]()

Delaying something a few days, or months is acceptable, but saying somethings comming out in early '08, then late 2010, then possibly 20900, 392928489393948483!!!!!!!

The so many delays mean that they are struggling to adapt successfully the new ideas in the new game. Remember that it's actually a big leap of faith. It's like changing the whole gamestyle but keeping the name. I dunno, I wouldn't be surprised to read the news of it getting cancelled (hope not!)

To me, the delays just mean more room for a quality game. Sure there are many ideas going around the production room but they just want to maximize gaming experience and if it means more delays, than so be it.
But it's looking frail. ------------------- ![]()

Hmmm...Nah, this game will be good no matter what they do to it. Another thing is that, and this is an innovative idea, but what do you think about storing games on flash drives instead of discs? I mean think about it. There'd be more stuff, the games would last longer, and be easier to carry! No one loses!

.. except the game producers. I mean, do you know how unbelievably easy it would be to rip the game off the flash drive and resell them or post them on the internet for piracy?
But yeah, record producers are looking into this and think about replacing the current CD with flash drives. ------------------- ![]()

According to GameTrailers is comes out on June 30th, which seems reasonable judging from the E3 showing it looked finished.

Yeah, there was a lot of gameplay showed, so I guess after some finishing touches, the game could come out on the 30th. Good, that's coming soon...
