Ok, so I cant beat the dark elf for the life of me...I first talk to him and he deals 9999 damage everytime...then if I knock off around 3000 damage (using tellah alone =_=) Then he uses quake and destroys my entire party...isnt there supposed to be a cut scene that saves me? >_>

You don't get the scene if you didn't go see Edward at Troia before going to the cave.

If you can Silence him, you can beat him without Doing the edward scene.

If still need help here is what I did. Had the monk use focus all the time, after edward scene. have cecil attack with m.g. blade, tellah cast silence and hit DE with Cid (still shocked he is playable), and use Blizzaga or Firaga, which ever hes weak 2. after he transforms finally unleash the monks fury by attacking it, should be like 3000+ dmg. continue to cast the 2 spells and attack and heal as cecil as necessary. he should die real quick after he transforms if you do this. b sure to use ethers and dry ethers on tellah.

I'm stuck on this bastard myself. I use alot of Firaga with Tellah and heal full time with Cecil. But Cid dies by the third spell the moopy bastard casts. Is it possible to silence the mother*bleep*er?

what is funny is i managed to trigger the edward scene without dying, just used reflect on myself repeatedly. the dumbass nearly blasted himself to oblivion with those powerful spells of his.

but yea, make sure you have the wisperweed from edward before you attempt to kill him.

Don't forget to Slow him, and Haste someone/s with Tellah. I Hasted Yang, his Focus attack is heaps strong.
