Leveling Up and Parrty Members

Hello guys.
I'm pretty new to this.

My first game for my DS and I've been trying to level up, but it's super hard it seems.

I have just acquired Rosa to become a permanent party member, at Kairo, and my current levels are:

Cecil: 22
Rosa: 15
Rydia: 18
Edward: 16

Is this a good set for now?
Also, is there any way I can take out party members like in XII?

-Thanks.

re: Leveling Up and Parrty Members

Cecil seems to be at a good level. But I'd level up the other 3. It might be easy for now, but once you get into dungeons it's better to be prepared than to go in and dying in the middle.

No, you can't switch party members in this game since there's no need. Usually when somebody joins you either have a free slot or somebody else leaves. That's just how they worked it into the plot. It works out fine, even though at times your party might feel really weak (like right now for instance).

That can actually be a good thing since you don't have to keep worrying about replacing members in and out to make sure they're leveled equally.

Rockrman this game is really different after you get past level 70th too.. You have to have the right augments equipped and using on members to gain the max stats. But once you have them everyone becomes really nice.. "Can't do it until the third playthrough but you must put the augments on the right people throughout.. If you want max that is,"

God leveling up is horrible with this game!

Cecil's on level 25 atleast.

Still can't beat the mom bomb at that mountain where you have to use fire against the ice

I know as much about this game as I do FFVII...

It is an easy fight.. Kill two of each and then kill off the last of them.. Then I think it won't combine into a big one.. Your levels are too high to be having problems with them...

My health is the problem.

When the Mom Bomb explodes, it kills me.

re: Leveling Up and Parrty Members

Well, it really depends on how fast you're able to progress through the storyline. If you play the game a lot and have good party members, you would probably go through pretty fast. It's a bit more difficult than other FF games, so that slows it down a bit. Don't let any of that stop you from playing though, it's a great game.

yeah it is a great game i love the battle theme when your fighting a boss i always tap my feet to it.
like on average how many hours of gameplay does it have?
you could compare it to FFX since thats the one ive played and remember most.

Yeah, the songs are awesome. I always listen to the song player. As for the average, I'm not sure, but it's probably 45-50 hours on average. I'll look it up when I have more time.

re: Leveling Up and Parrty Members

You've met Namingway right? Well, you'll keep finding him in different places and he'll keep changing his name. He becomes Jammingway eventually, and after he decides to change his name again, he'll give you the music player. Just visit Fat Chocobo in the Chocobo Woods and select the music player. Sorry, I forgot when he becomes Jammingway and where to find him. You'll find him at some point though, since he's usually in places that you have to go to in order to progress in the storyline.
