Are the stories for each character worth remembering or do they play on the story line from their game (ei: Tidus has to protect/rescue Yuna or something)

As far as FFX, great game, probably my #2 game of all time, FFVII being my first. FFX is recognized as one of the best games of the series, so do not bash it completely.

The stories are only slightly linked to the original games. As in you'll never see Yuna in Tidus' storyline. I don't know more because I don't know Japanese, though.

FFX, its the only ff game i like, oh yeah and u guys eve played FFXIII yet?

FFXIII is not out yet. Not even in Japan. Trust me when I say it's gonna take time.

i have play all the FF games except for FFIII, and FFX is my favorite. Just because someone like a modern game does not mean it is for the graphics. FFX is recognized as one of the most popular games in the franchise, those who bash it, usually have to bring up FFX-2 (which is a separate game)

OF COURSE THIS GAME IS WORTH IT. IT'S THE BEST I SAY.
I almost got all my chars to lvl 100.

VII and X take the cake. Even if someone said this game WASN'T worth it, I'm sure the second we saw our favourite final character more than half of us would buy it anyway.

Its good to hear this games doing well, and it just makes me want it even more.
Guess I'll just beat Crisis Core again till then..

I said it then and I'll say it now. This is one of the best titles to hit the PSP. Even though I can't read one word of Japanese, I enjoyed this immensely and put 50+ hours into it even with my hectic schedule.
And mind you, none of the characters except Cloud and Sephiroth were familiar to me at all, but this game managed to change my all time favourite FF character as well.

Squall, Cloud, Sephiroth, and Ultimecia are familiar for me. And I've seen Tidus in many websites so he's kinda familiar too for me.

About fighting's technique ---> Is it like KOF?
And it doesn't have storyline, does it? Only fight? Or it has storyline? Can we understand how to play if we buy the Japanese version?

Nope, Squall isn't familiar to me cause I haven't played FFVIII.
Fighting style is completely new. Read my review in the user reviews section. That should cover the basics.
There is a storyline. And don't get the japanese one now cause the english one is almost here.
