9 days without an update...ouch.

Chapter 6:

The sound of metal clashing echoed through the cave. At the altar of the Crystal, Soma swung his sword wildly at Derek. Blocking as best he could, Derek grinds his teeth. The knowledge of the Dragoon swam in his mind, but he was still overwhelmed.

"What's the matter!? The "blessing of the light" not strong enough to hold off my attacks!?" Soma scoffs. "If this is how you handle a threat now, I can't wait until you think you're experienced!"

"Shut up! I don't know what you're planning to do with it, but I'll never give you the Crystal!" Derek says between sounds of metal clangs. "So back off!"

Derek manages to push back, and swings at Soma with full strength. Soma blocks easily. Despite how much power Derek put into his attack, Soma wasn't even pushed back.

"This is all you have? How boring. Come back when you're worth something." Soma's blade glowed a deep grey. With a burst of power, a ray shoots out of his sword. It shoots Derek back at full speed, slamming him against the wall.

Now gasping for air in the ground, Derek struggles to get up. Soma looks over to Eva. The other Light Warriors were sprawled around her. "They barely put up a fight." She sighs. "You lied, Soma...this wasn't a challenge at all."

Soma laughs. Walking over to Derek, he smiles down on him condescendingly. "You, have no idea what you're getting into. Your ignorance and false hope will only lead to despair and sorrow. But alas, it's not time for you to know what the Revelation."

"Eva!" He calls over his shoulder, nodding his head towards to Crystal. Eva nods, and walks up to the Crystal, reaching out to it. "It's still hot. Heehee, this should give our weapon a nice power boost!" She grabs it, and walks over to Soma. "Ready to go?"

Soma nods, and the two walk towards to exit. Derek desperately tries to get up. "STOP!" He shouts.

"No. I'm just getting started. Get stronger, and maybe you'll be of some use to me."

Derek's sight began to blur. He hit his head against the wall when he was shot back. "Y...you..." He says weakly. He vision goes from a blur to black. "Nooo..."

"He was weak. He has no use in our organization." A voice says. Fog covered Derek's vision. He was having another dream. The voice was different from the others, though. It was arrogant and full of confidence.

"It's time we eliminate them all and continue with no obstacles." It says.

"If we kill them, he was simply restart the cycle again and we will have to start all over. Think about it." A familiar voice says. It was the deep, growling voice from his other dreams. This time, it sounded incredibly familiar. As if he could put a face on it. He began to think hard. "Fine. Then we'll just have to..." The arrogant voice begins to say. However, the voices were fading again, and another voice called out to him.

"Derek Highwind, I presume." It says.

Derek opens his eyes slowly. "Where...am I?" He asks. A man with a helmet covering his face and multiple metals on his armor stood before Derek.

"You're in the White Wing Rebellion's base. We found you in a Crystal Cave unconscious. Soma must have really hit you hard."

Derek looks at the man. "Who are you?"

"My name is Commander Cid. And we need your help."

Chapter 7:

"They're called the Crystal Society." Cid says. "They're taking the powers of the Crystals found on Eden and using them to create some enormous weapon. We don't know what the purpose, but they've been ravaging towns and landmarks to find them. We've been assembled to put a stop to them, and destroy that weapon.."

"So, what are we suppose to do?" Derek asks from his chair. Derek, as well as the other Light Warriors, were sitting at a circular meeting table with Cid standing in the middle.

"You're suppose to take them down." Cid says abruptly. "You ARE the Light Warriors, after all."

"But we just became them! Shouldn't we be trying smaller stuff first?" Iris asks.

"Not a chance. The Light Warrior before you was thrust into his mission so fast he barely had a chance to grab his weapon." Cid says. Suddenly, a cold wind blew by. Cid heard a faint voice whisper from it.

"What's wrong?" Chase asks.

"Nothing." Cid replies. "Anyway. Will you help us?"

"Guess we don't have a choice..." Derek says. "The Crystal that gave us our power told us that there is a darkness that will fall over Eden soon."

"Soon? It already has, as far as I'm concerned. The Crystal Society, the Dark Warriors, and the Vern Empire are all out for blood, it seems."

"Dark Warriors? Vern Empire?" Davis says in a confused tone. "Who are they?"

"The Vern Empire is just like any empire. A kingdom that rules over hundreds of kingdoms. They weren't always the nicest, but lately, their rule has been spreading like a virus. They have been taking over lands with pure force, taking any lives that get in their way. Women, children...their emperor, Abel Vern, must have given into power hunger." Cid says.

He stops and turns his back, sighing and lowering his head.

"The Dark Warriors...are not unlike you...they possess the power of Crystals. However, their Crystals are tainted with darkness, and are pretty much your very opposites, hence the name Dark Warrior. Any power you receive they can get as well, making them deadlier then the Empire and the Crystal Society put together. You should definitely know, considering two of them took all six of you out in a matter of a few minutes." Cid says.

"Do you mean..." Derek begins to stay.

"Yes." Cid interrupts. "Soma and Evangeline are Dark Warriors. Other than their names, we don't know who they are, how many there are, or who they're working for, if anyone. They just appear out of nowhere and reek havoc, only to fade back into whatever hole they came from when they're done." He says.

"What do you mean "how many there are"? So Soma and Eva aren't the only ones?" Alice asks.

"Hell no. For a while there were at least twelve of them causing chaos everywhere. It seems they can share their powers. Lately, however, if seems their numbers have dwindled to six, and equal match to you as the Light Warriors."

Suddenly, a laugh echoes out of nowhere.

"Equal match. Really. I could have sworn I blasted their leader right into a wall and knocked him unconscious with a tiny energy ray." A voice echoes. "I wonder, will this base fall just as easily? After all, a team IS only as strong as its weakest player." It says.

"That voice...get outside! Now!" Cid yells.

The Light Warriors and Cid race out the door.

"Run faster. Your time is limited."

New chapter! Hooray for the Dark Warriors!

Chapter 8:

"So, how is everyone? Recovering from your boo boos?" Soma taunts from a nearby mountain cliff.

Derek growls. "What do you want, Soma!?" He yells.

"Well. Aren't we in a bad mood. I guess it's not okay that I invited some friends." Soma snaps his fingers. In an instant, five other figures appear from dark portals. "I'm sure you already know Evangeline. After all, she downed five of you by herself."

Eva scoffs. "That wasn't fun at all. I figured with five opponents I would have all over the place! But instead, I sat in one place and blasted you all away with my pinky!" Her long, slender katana was attached to her back, ready for battle.

"Eva! Mind your manners. After all, they're new to this stuff." A boy walks up next to Eva. He was Reece, Evangeline's older brother. His hair and eyes were nearly the same color as his sister's. His knight sword was hanging valiantly on his waist.

"Stuff it, Reece! Even beginners would have given a better fight if there were five of them!" She whines. Reece rolls his eyes. "Little sisters can be so annoying..." He sighs.

Next to Eva and Reece was a girl with blue streaks in her hair. Her long blue and brown hair was wavy and beautiful, her blue streaks reconciled with the brown perfectly. A sapphire dowsing pendulum was wrapped around her wrist.

"Quiet as always, eh, Dawn?" Reece asks.

Dawn slowly turns her head and looks at Reece. Just as slowly, she turns her head back to the Light Warriors.

"So, you're the other Dark Warriors!" Derek yells up to them.

"That's right, boy, show us some respect." A girl next to Dawn says condescendingly. Her long, dirty blond hair hanging over her shoulder. "Shanna's the name, scythe is my game!" With a flash of light, a large scythe appears in her hand.

"Psh! You all have these fancy weapons. Nothing can ever compare to the power of your fist!" The boy next to Shanna says. His short brown hair slightly covering a martial arts headband. He had a muscular build that was slightly larger then the other Dark Warriors. "Just call me Bryer. Anytime you want to do some hand-to-hand, just come see me." He smiles down at Chase.

Chase clenches his fists.

"Well, now that we're all acquainted, I'd like to ask you for that Crystal you're holding in that base." Soma says. "Well, not ask, rather ORDER you to give it to me."

"Never! You're not taking any Crystal, Soma!" Derek yells.

"Do you WANT more scars?" Soma asks with frustrated emphasis. "I can set that up for you if you wish."

Derek clenches his teeth and growls. He summons his lance with a flash of light. Before he could move, he gasps, and falls to his knees. His lance disappears. He holds his sides in pain.

"Pace yourself, Derek! You've only just became a Light Warrior and you're heavily injured!" Cid says.

"No..." Derek says weakly. He grits his teeth and rises from his knees. "He's not getting that Crystal!" He yells summoning his lance. "I don't care who you are or how powerful you are! BRING IT ON, SOMA!"

I was wondering when you'd get a new chapter posted.


Like a couple of the ones before it,it ended too soon

Of course it did! The kids need the drama!
