OK *bleep* this game, you damage them for 10-20 dmg per each hit and spend about 10+ mins doing so only to get *bleep*ed in one combo

Your Bravery tells you how much you next hit will cause for the most of the battle. If you Break the opponent's Bravery, cause a Wall Rush, or use an EX Burst, it can deal so much more.

Just let your Bravery recover before attacking, and use Brave Attacks before you attack.

It's the matter of knowing how to battle.

Chill just try fighting weaker enemies till you get the better equip.

actually I had the same prob in the beginning (lv100 cloud getting pwned)
what I recommend is just investing in heavy hp-hitting and preventing a break, with an appropriate accessory build. For example Final Decision (can guard against break once), Bravery Elemental (after HP-attack bravery regains faster), etc. You can get them in the shop if you've progressed far enough in the game. Also train in dodging, it's not that difficult.

If I fight now, even w/out Clouds ultimate equipment, I just try to land an HP-attack and then get the hell outta there until my bravery's replenished.
If they dodge (what they mostly do), just dodge back so their counterattacks miss and attack again until you hit.
This strategy (even though it sounds simple) mostly works for me. Cloud's a real heavy hp hitter with all his smashing around, so I just focus on that^^

And of course prevent them from breaking you, if they do they get to inflict a ridiculously high amount of damage and you'll be practically destroyed.


Don't bother trying to break your enemy without ultimate equipment. You'll inflict almost no damage on their bp.
