First Of the Characters i consider Mage. hope you agree

Terra
Kefka
Ultimecia
Kuja
Shanttoto


The reasons i did not include Characters like Firion or CoD is just because they don't seem "mage" Firion as a wide array of Magical attacks but he is a warrior, and CoD for has no magic attacks, those are just.... Lasers

Well my favs are:

Kefka: Those Weird Spells are awsome.

Ultemecia: I like those Magick atatcks a lot, and those "Purple" spikes that can be left hanging are great for combos, to bad her HP attacks aren't that great.

Shanttoto: her Higher Magical HP attacks are a treat to see, and she is by far the character with most Magic attacks, or should i say normal ones

if you want more characters on the list i can add them. i know that Terra and all are also cool, but these are my favourites.

Kuja for me.

He can hit at any range, can be used however you want, has great hp attacks, and he can glide during attacks, which I find awesome.

His attacks are fun to use too, and he has a couple of dodge cancel combos which are kind of hard to hit with, but are great once you get them down.

He isn't really long range as most people say. I think he is called 'Range Master' because he is good at all ranges.

I sorta like Exdeath, but he isn't much fun to use. He is really powerful though.

Shan hasn't got enough range for me and is a massive cp hog.

Kefka is too... air dashable?

Emperor seems to rely too much on opponents mistakes.

Ultimecia is sorta like Kefka, too easy to dash through, but is... I don't know, but she is really a sort of BP killer like Squall and Sephhiroth, but long range and not really as good at it. Her hp attacks don't cut it really either.

Terra is good too, with a great damage output, but Kuja's maneuverability wins out for me.

Maybe Kuja is good, but i did so many battles with the guy and could not get his attacks to work properly... they were always blocked.... but Ultima is pretty good, even better if you wanna run away he realy speeds up, but i don't realy like Kuja... that "Come Dance With me" line he says almost kills me.

The way to play Kuja isn't always be casting, it is to pressure with snatch shots ultima etc counter misses with strike energy and snatch blow etc.

Just using random long range attacks just gets a dash to hp attack to the face you know >_>

I find it better to suprise enemies with strike energy and that close range flare ball thing.

But saying 'that was a bad call' after every hit gets really annoying after a while >_>

Kefka makes me laugh. Instant win. And the way he runs.

Terra is the best mage imo,but Shantotto and Kuja are pretty good too.

i would agree to that, if i learned how t play with her... i am trying to leanr to pass Time Attack wiht her, but i am maynly spamming holy combo... works some times. but it takes to much time to complete....

Hmm you dont consider CoD a mage? I haven't played as her yet, but from what I remember fighting her, she definitely played like a mage. Her physical attacks seemed few and far between.
Anyway, I actually hate mage characters =p They just seem really cowardly to me, but I kinda had fun playing as Terra while going through the story mode.

When you fight against Terra you do have a tendecy to see her as a Coward, especialy in Time Attack.

and no i don't consider her a Mage, because as i stated her BR attacks are just with those Snake things, and her HP attacks are Lasers, the only thing she as as a magic are both: Lightining, and two Dark balls. btu only that and it comes fomr the snake things...

Oh man; THIS.

I'd say Ultemicia hands down. Her bravery attack helps get high amounts of brv, easy to break opponents and her EX ability to freeze time helps to connect a HP attack for the big finishing move.
