Gabranth and Basch are brothers. Gabranth hates Basch for leaving him and their mother. I don't see any better conflict than that.

re: So many few girls in Dissidia |

Well only the main characters got in, so it would be a bit stupid having say Rydia instead of Cecil because all the FF games are known by their main characters and their relationships with their villains. But if more than two characters were allowed per game, then it would seem unfair to some that a certain character got in while another didn't or that some games got more characters than others.
Saying that there should be more girls means that you either have to swap them for the main character or add in an extra character for every other game to even things up. And when you start getting to characters with basically no personality or are generic (*cough*onionknight*cough*) you have no other characters to put in. Or you end up going 'lets put in a generic job class which wouldn't make any sense in the story a character but it's from that game so it doesn't matter'. And the remakes shouldn't replace the originals, having Refia instead of OK is stupid and then she isn't even the main character (albeit for the first 10 minutes of the game where the characters in FF3DS have personalities before they start to hardly say a thing >_>) ------------------- United have MUTV, Chelsea have CTV, Liverpool have the History Channel. -Some guy on Twitter

quote ViperSeanNo she wasn't.... that's what made VI different... She is considered by many to be the main but most descriptions for the game will state that there was no central character. Besides the game also revolved around Celes too. quoteYes she is. The game is based around her. She is pivotial to the plot. The plot can exist without Celes. It can't without Terra. Ehh, with the girls thing... meh, I'm happy. Terra needed to be in there. XI I haven't played. And if it came to FFVII, I'm sure most would go with Tifa. Which would make me unhappy. Sticking with the guys makes everyone happy. ------------------- ![]() Whenever you go, you and I both know, you leave me hollow.

quote lucedeoangelThe plot couldn't go without Celes. Remember that the Blackjack owner Setzer had a crush on Maria the Opera Singer, who looked like Celes. Without the opera house scene they wouldn't have had the airship, therefore no Vector trip, and no Empire assault. ------------------- ![]() Sig created by me, steal it and DIE

I thought that the heiress to the throne of Dalmasca's troubles throughout the game were more important than someone who left there other twin and mother o_0 But anyways, I'd like to see more girls in a sequel, just a few more, that way guy players don't get their knickers in a twist, but I'm a guy, and I'd like to see more interesting females in a sequel, not a full - blown sausage-fest on both sides xD
As for the FFVI thing, well just by reading a summary of the FFVI story I'd say Terra is the main character, because she has green hair, I mean come on! It's green!!! But seriously she is half esper, and is effected by Kefka's actions throughout the game the most, making her a perfect fit for the role in Dissidia, in the end it all comes down to how their storys will function, and their gameplay. Well in my opinion at least.

True, but you don't have to get her back once you lose her, you know.
Of course, I do understand that Terra is one of the driving forces of FFVI, and was a good pick. ------------------- ![]()

How can Terra not be the main character? Yeah, so you don't have to get her for the end, but she is still part of the ending. And don't go with the whole Celes thing. She has about 4 lines of dialogue after you finish the island with Cid on >_>
Besides, it makes more sense to have her in Dissidia. She brings something different, because otherwise we would just have another generic sword guy like WoL. Because what can Locke do that would be interesting? Steal. Now put him in Dissidia and you basically have to make a whole character from scratch. Although someone like Edgar would be better because he has tools, which give him something to base a moveset around. Same with Sabin's blitzes. But now I think about it, Gau in Dissidia would be so awesome ------------------- United have MUTV, Chelsea have CTV, Liverpool have the History Channel. -Some guy on Twitter

re: So many few girls in Dissidia |
quote ambiesushiSounds like weak plot involvement. Besides, Terra was THE reason everything started like this. Or at least, Terra's mother was the reason. She's the first one you start out as, and in the thick of the central plot. The only other choices: Locke or Celes. There's already a thief, Celes really is kind of extraneous, and I think that Square wanted a mage hero to diversify things. ------------------- ![]()

Well in the end we are stuck with the people they put in, so lets stop arguing how we want others in the game, as long as I get Ultimecia I'm happy <3
And lets' hope they put the one we want in a sequel, if they make one, and yes I know my logic is great
