Personally, I'd rather have the final product sooner than the final product 10 months later, with some small changes. As long as the extras aren't exactly "essential" to play the game (i.e. just a couple extra characters or costumes that I could live without) then I'd rather play the game now. Not forgetting the fact that most dual-console owners will get the XBOX360 version purely because it's releasing on that first... I'd rather see them getting the PS3 version.
As for why they don't mention this game, it's because they know it's a timed-exclusive, and so it's only okay to mention the PS3 version once the XBOX360 version is out and released... this way, it ensures that microsoft don't lose sales (think about it... PS3 getting this game to... all of japan would wait for this version, and microsoft lose sales, so microsoft pay the developers to keep their mouths shut).  -------------------  | |

Well im pretty sure Japan knows the PS3 version is in the mix and hell im sure its been made notice of Japanized(sorry for the made up word, and I mean no offense)websites as well. So with that said I still don't see MS sales rising from this.

If it's anything like the Xbox version, don't.
Wait until all the reviews and impressions come in first. Then maybe rent it, and if you like it then go ahead by all means buy it. This has been the second Square Enix flop this year, after Infinite Undiscovery. i cant believe you said it... but i guess someone had to eventually. this makes me worried about FFXIII to be honest.
I believe they will fix the kinks for the PS3 version simply because they know what they are and they have the time to do it... -------------------

Look I'm just giving it a bad eye, so if it's a flop I can say I told you so and if it succeeds then it's all well and good. Just judging from the Xbox version, it doesn't look like a game worth looking forward to. FFXIII & Versus, and perhaps Agito, should all be stellar as it's the main Square Enix team who design and develope them, or at least Versus anyway. Yes, but just because SE says so doesnt mean i trust them. They are designing the game with the 360 version is mind, and that worries me...

That's actually incorrect Shadow. Since the PS3 version has been started first, which the 360 still hasn't been started yet, and going to be finished first, no quality will be lost when the 360 version gets on in development. You have to remember SE are making multiple discs for FF13 on the 360. Which means the quality the PS3 version has won't be altered when doing the 360 version. This has been stated multiple times already.

You would agree with me in saying that Sony will use almost all 50gb, correct? A DVD9 holds 8gb correct? 8gb or 9gb... whichever way you look at it, 32 or 36 gb (4 discs) is not really that much, since Microsoft charges extra for each disc, any more than 4 would a lot o' money. You might answer by saying "They will compress it." two things: 1. As a pretty intelligent individual, you probably know what happens to most compressed games. 2. They will not only have to compress 45-50gb to 32-36gb, but they will have to overlap many things considering they cannot lose information when going from one disc to another. If they do not, it would be impossible to backtrack. AS a result, one of two things are bound to happen: 1. THe PS3 version has some stuff cut from it or has a quicker ending that anticipated 2 or the 360 version will be so compressed, you will definitely tell the difference in many aspects of the game. How many companies do you know that would purposely make a game KNOWING one version is superior to the other.. -------------------

I don't even know if it's going to use 50GB of storage. And that's for a dual-layer BD disc. Last thing I heard about FF13 is it using 40GB but I don't know how accurate this is. But I can assure you NOTHING WILL BE ALTERED. 4-5 discs will be used Shadow. Why can't you get it into your brain both versions will be identical even if one has multiple discs? LO has 4 discs mind you and people thought it was awesome and that was an exclusive. I've come to terms with the facts that both versions will be identical and optimized on the system individually.
I really don't understand why you still think this way. They're both going to be the same. If anything, the 360 version is going to be made with the PS3 in mind.
