The Last Remnant is a timed exclusive for the 360, so that is why they stated it the way they did. I am still surprised that the PS3 release date wasnt even mentioned at the Sony press conference

yes, but rumor has it that PS3 will be exclusive content and such. Which is possible (i dont have hopes for it, but..) because the reason they gave for the time exclusivity is because it takes longer to make on the PS3. So they might end up having some time to put something else in there...

we dont even know what the exclusive content is yet... how can you come to that decision. Still, if you had a choice to wait a couple months to play the same game but with added content for the same price, I would wait...

It has already been announced for the PS3. IT WILL be on the PS3. It is just that the 360 will be getting it a couple months ahead of the PS3. But dont worry, PS3 owners WILL get the game, and like a couple rumors say, with extra content than the 360 version...

whichever way you look at it, 32 or 36 gb (4 discs) is not really that much, since Microsoft charges extra for each disc, any more than 4 would a lot o' money. You might answer by saying "They will compress it." two things:
1. As a pretty intelligent individual, you probably know what happens to most compressed games.
2. They will not only have to compress 45-50gb to 32-36gb, but they will have to overlap many things considering they cannot lose information when going from one disc to another. If they do not, it would be impossible to backtrack.

AS a result, one of two things are bound to happen:
1. THe PS3 version has some stuff cut from it or has a quicker ending that anticipated
2 or the 360 version will be so compressed, you will definitely tell the difference in many aspects of the game.

How many companies do you know that would purposely make a game KNOWING one version is superior to the other..

You had a pretty good argument until that sentence. Not only is it obvious that that HAVE TO COMPRESS (even if they use only 40gb), but SE has stated themselves that they will have to.

SE stated they would use most if not all (or as much as they can) of the disc space provided by blu-ray in order to take full-advantage of the PS3, mind you this was said before the 360 version was confirmed at E3.

After I played that game, i think i proved my point that it will be shitty in comparison.

However I never said there will be a altercations of the game between the two versions did I, Ill repeat myself...

1. The ending will be cut short or the game will not be as long as the developers originally intended it to be. (This is for all versions)
2. Or the graphics, lagtime, etc... will be noticably different in the 360 version (which is not an altercation, simply a side-effect of the compression).

One of these has to happen, the point that you can and will use is that we will never be able to confirm #1. Why should I take SE for their literal word, havent they contradicted themselves plenty of times. Nomura even stated that Riku wouldnt be in KH2, we know how that turned out...

Not to beat a dead horse, but I didn't use Koloth as a be all end all, just to point out the facts that has been stated before and how the quality won't differ. In fact, after seeing the 360 version in action, all I have to say is WOW. Perfectly identical to each other I say. Red was quick to say it doesn't look the same, but idk how he'd say that. Both doesn't look like it's losing anything at all. Even SE mentioned nothing will be altered. The only thing both Nomura and Kitase disliked it the increase time of developing the game. FF13 could have been out already if it wasn't for the 360, but that's besides the point.

lol, you cannot take a 3 min clip of a trailer to compare the two one way or the other. I did not see any differences, you are correct, but even if there is going to be differences, you think SE would show that at E3? no...

The point is, could the game have been longer or looked better if it was PS3 exclusive, that is the point here.
