If this question is inconvenient, I'll remove the post, but I do need something cleared up that I couldn't find anywhere else that I looked.

I know that when a team member asks if they should learn so and so, they will or will not depending on what you answered eventually, but I think I made a mistake in the past with one of these. I'm not sure is why I'm here. It's involving Torgal, I think I might of told him to not learn item arts, or something to do with mystic arts.

Whenever in battle, he never heals when I tell his squad to. But in his arts list it clearly says he knows Mystic Missile, but that is all. He never learns anything new no matter how many times I tell his squad to combat or mystic, where as everyone else is fine. And under his item arts, he knows how to do red potion. That is all. =/ The only thing he can do, and he does it well, is combat arts. I highly doubt I told him not to learn both item or mystic healing arts, so I'm really frustrated.

A little help would be greatly appreciated. I did make up for him by completely reconstructing my team members though, and recruiting new ones so there's always at least 2 healers on each team, so would I be able to survive the game without him learning neither and only physical?

Hi, you didn't give much information about your current BR, but here goes.

Torgal doesn't learn any healing arts which is a drawback to using him. It's best if he is not the leader of a union but rather in the 4ht or 5th position if possible.

If you told Torgal to go combat he will develop into a monster weapons artist, which is great. He will carry Halphas Dominus axes (glowing orange) and get the weapons art Hawkarang which will do 200,000 damage.

If you told him to go mystic, or if you didn't but use his mystic too often he will get gremory dominus swords and get the art Cerulean Rain which is a very good sword art and highly damaging. He will also get this art if he goes Balanced route.

For now, put him in a combat squad with somebody like Baulson, Rush, Blocter or Caedmon at the head and let Torgal complain about how it all is a waste of his time.

Oh, I thought something funky was going on with him, and that his combat arts were a little bit too good, lol. Thankyou for clearing that up. I also had told him to go combat.. I think.

I had him in David's party, with David as the leader, and Torgal in the 2nd position. I have David learning everything, and he's pretty good at it all but his healing areas need improvements, and at the time he was the only one in his unit. But I have fixed that issue up and put a more qualified healer in with them, and still have David learning more. So I'm guessing it's still a good idea to move him to a later position? (I actually might have 3 healers in his squad, I'm not sure.)
