How many weapons do you need to kill a terrorists ass. Really? 50 max is all you need. Plus with so many weapons, what's the performance variation? It'd be really useless to put that many in there. Sure it'd be impressive if they did though. XD

re: Socom Confrontation Perks

There are more than enough weapons. More is great, for sure, but that isn't as necessary. What I feel they do need, is more customization options. IE: Reduce insane weight limitations for something as small as a scope attachment, or a tiny laser. Those things don't weigh anywhere close to what they seem to in the last batch of games. Since everybody is going to be able to customize weapons, there really isn't a drawback. Everybody gets the same priviledge.

Also, they need to amp things up and make things more realistic. For starters, the laser needs to actually appear on targets, and you need to be able to see it when using a scope. If you're scopeless, then after 30 feet you're not going to realistically be able to depend on it shining through in every situation. Hence you would use the red-dot. Also, enemies should be able to see the red laser when it's moving around. That is all realistic tactical effects, and since Confrontation is geared for that sort of personal warfare, it should be that much more important to appear.

Fully customizable weapons are things we see all the time in today's special forces units. 4x scopes, fore grips, suppressors, lasers, flashlights, all of that can be found on one gun.

Since these are smaller maps, we're not going to be seeing much in the way of AT4 vs RPG battles. So the effect of customized main weaponry is more important. Also, i'd like to see SMG's moved and added to the sub weapon AND main weapon department. If you wanted to use your main as an MP5, and sub as a pistol, that's fine. But if you wanted to carry a sniper rifle, and carry an MP5 as secondary, that should be fine too. Realistically you don't see any soldier carrying a main, sub, and a pistol, so maxing out with the combo of a main, and sub is important. If the SMG is placed into the main or sub category, it can't be duplicated in the other category (so no SMG/SMG combos, since it'd be pretty pointless).

re: Socom Confrontation Perks

I like the realisticness in games in those terms. But with every effect in a game, there has to be a defect. The reason a scope weighs soo much for some reason, is to even out the advantage. ( I hope they let you set presets btw. I really hated how you had to go through and pick a weapon, inventory, and all kinds of equips, etc, after every single game. I'm tired of that.)
