On top of that, Sony, like Microsoft, will permanently ban the IP address range of any console user that attempts to hack or alter online game code (modding). That's a great deterrent which is already working pretty well with Xbox Live's hacker mofos. Since the PS3 is relatively unhackable, (since a bluray burner, and bluray media is so damned expensive, it's pointless to try), and HD DVD is easier to acquire, you'll be seeing more 360 hacker/modders getting banned than PS3 users. Another plus. :3
Not that they should ever, EVER, skimp out on hack detection software though, they need to keep that in there and keep improving it, just in case they ever make hard drive based PS3 hacks. ------------------- ![]() | |
