Not really if you think about it. Resistance had a lot of players because it was the only launch title worth playing on the ps3 and I would bet that most of the resistance players were Socom people on the ps2 if they were into online shooters. Call of duty 4.5 will have a following but everybody I knew that played Call of Duty were former Socom players that just needed something to do to pass the time until a Socom came out for ps3. Killzone 2 can't possibly have a following yet because the game hasn't came out, and I think we both know that there were no followers of killzone 1 because it was a horrible game. Socom will be THE online shooter for the ps3 telling yourself any different is just being naive. Theirs a reason why socom is still played in masses today on the ps2, because there is no online shooter out there that even comes close to socom. What has really amazed me is that none of these other online shooters have adopted the online system that socom has such as the briefing rooms and picking your server and game that you want to play in. Until games start adopting those features they will just be second rate shooters compared to socom.

yeah thats ture am gonna be spoiled for the rest of the months because good games are coming out.

You couldnt have spoken the truth any better.
There is no way socom 4 is going to die out, especially to noob shooters like COD4 fans and R2 fans. up until socom 4 was released id prob say socom 3 had just as big amount of people playing as noobshooter COD4. anyone can pick up and play all those games and be good at them in a day. Socom is a game that takes a longgggggggg asss time to get good at.

Little skill is involved with this game, if you don't know how to play with strategy, and as a team, you can't win.
