I haven't played since August because all my friends stopped =\. I did play one best of 5 bet game but that didn't count considering all I did was go 5pool 3 times in a row lol. But game sense never really goes away, so I can still help. Although the new builds are a little different from 3 months ago. Strategies change fast.

These days, there are so many high-level players making tutorials and stuff so learning the game now is a lot easier than learning the game 5 years ago. Day9's livestream is great, check the on demand vids. He's the living encyclopedia of Starcraft.

I can't get those maps to work? How exactly does that work, or are they all multiplayer via Battlenet?

Just extract that .rar into your Starcraft's map folder. They are all playable on single player.

I feel like such a noob right now.. I tried to open them in the map editor instead of ingame...

If you can beat more than half of those T/Z/P micro scenarios, your micro is definitely good enough to play online. In terms of 1v1ing, I suggest picking one race, then playing 1 specific matchup then start branching out.

If you create a user-amp with heroes, you can outfit them with a large number of stats. However, currently only three stats will be able to be displayed on the UI due to limited space.

RPG maps are going to be so deep in this game, especially in combination with the ability to play in third-person, they will probably distract me from ladder -_-.

A huge SC2 exhibition was hosted in Korea last week. Nothing new, just a few matches between Blizzard employees. There was no English coverage of the event, but enjoy this pic:
