Why me...?
It's a bit over contrasted. The colors are nice, but like i said, it's to contrasted. The text is still bad, but i suck at text, too. The blindings nice, th background is a wince to boring, though.

Smudging, Displacing, Filters, ect. If the tutorials are too difficult, you should look around photoshop, and learn where things are and what they do.

quote Tears of InsanityIt's 'cause you suck at GFX. ~_^ quote CFKakarotBefore you get into complicated stuff like smudging, displacing, filters, and all o' those PSP goodies, get some brushes. Figure out a style of GFX that you like, such as grunge, abstract, grunge abstract, vector, vector abstract, etc...Then download some brushes that match your style, such as grunge brushes, abstract brushes, vector brushes, or just make your own(That you have to figure out yourself). When you make a canvas, make it transparent, and first use the "Cloud" filter, making sure the colors are set to default black/white. Then fill the canvas with a couple brushes you downloaded, randomize it a little, make sure to switch between black and white colors. Then add your stock/render. Then use a gradient map using the colors you want, and blend it into the canvas the way you see fit. Following those steps may seem confusing, especially without a visual, but I'm assuming you're familiar with most of the PSP functions. If you have questions, or need a visual, PM me. Otherwise, don't bother me. Cheers!

In the layers palette there should be an icon that looks like this:
![]() Click on that and go to Gradient Map, or something like that. Select the colors you want. At first the entire canvas will be almost filled with the gradient, so you gotta reduce the opacity of the layer you put the gradient on, and then choose a different blending option. The best looking blending options most of the time is "Hard Light," "Screen," "Pin Light," and "Color Overlay." Just make sure you make a new layer to put the gradient on. Hope that helps.

hey should i do all of the brushing on one layer or split it between a few layers?
i did this one on only one layer but it looks decent. i used difference as my blending option cuz all most of the other ones completely changed the gradient colors. ![]() tell me what needs fixing/done differently. or whats good about it lol

quote CFKakarotNah, Difference doesn't look good. The other ones may fade the gradient colors, but the overall result will look better. And make sure the gradient is over everything, even the stock, to balance the image.

im good with everything until the gradient blending.
ill set my colors and put the gradient down but as soon as i change the blending method it switches colors almost completely, and when i put the opacity down it slowly goes back to the black/white colors i used in the beginning. it also makes the stock look like garbage too lol im guessing im just doing something wrong.
