re: Information Thread

For starters I can't believe Spike would even consider putting in some sort of a "cave robot". That General Blue pic looks fake, just check out his legs, horible bit of art right there. Plus his face has something familiar to it. About Spopovitch I really don't give a damn, the only worthy one out of the four is Gokua, I'll just call him like that to avoid confusions, his original name is Kogu.

re: Information Thread

Apparently, 2 DBZ games are already confirmed for the PS3,and supposedly one is dbzT3, they said the makers pushed the ps2 as far as possible, and one of the devolpers commented by saying that with the ps3 they could take the game to its limits! - I couldnt find the exact link i'll keep trying, but heres another site that says it, theres quite a few:

That pic has been around since BT1. It was supposed to be a pic of ape Bardock. It's obviously a fake. I could zoom in on it but it would loose alot of quality. The picture would hardly be visible at all. Can't you tell by the health bars it's just a bt1 edit?

To all in this thread, not to sound like a memborator but this thread is for posting [new] information, not discussing it. The correct thread to discuss information would be the "Chat About Information Thread".

re: Information Thread

I have found some new information considering the game. The info is in Dutch so that kind a sucks for the people that can't read Dutch

Still, it is very neat and it said that there where going to be 3 original characters, created just for this game. and that there was a story with some kind of meteor.

I didn't really understand it. maybe G_O_G_E_T_A can explain it a bit better then I can

quote InsideGamer
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (Wii, PS2)

The stuff that I bolded is the most important stuff and it states the 3 new characters.

I used an online translator to translate it, so it may be off somewhat but here it is (bolded parts translated):

quote
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 know has three completely new personages whom especially one has made for the game, but which is this is still unknown.
What is, however, confessed, is the additive of `original tale that among other things around the new personages and a mysterious meteor will twist (in Japan the game the subtitle Meteor have thus got)
So there are three new characters included for the purpose of this new "Meteor" tale

Perhaps a completely translated version will help. Btw guys I did this all by myself, without help from translating sites, or dictionaries. So cut me some slack if I made any mistakes, which I don't expect

quote Translated version of "InsideGamer"
It's remarkable to see how the Dragonball Z Budokai series have evolved over the years.
The first three games showed the action from a "side view", whereas both the Tenkaichi games are more of a mix between third-person fighting, the improving of your characters by using capsules, and going on adventures through the DBZ universe to look for new challenges. One gets bored pretty quick with the first three games who were very easy to adapt to, but the real fan will get everything he wants with Budokai Tenkaichi 1,2 and now 3.

The game, that will appear on both the PS2 and the Wii, doesn't differ that much from the first two installments. While you view your characters' action from behind, you can control him/her with the analoge stick, and you can unleash a variety of combo's on your opponent by pushing the buttons in the correct order. Designer Spike once again implemented the "lock-on" system in Tenkaichi 3, which means you first have to locate your enemy before you can attack.

You will have to look around a lot anyway, because the fighting area's in the game are not exactly what you call "small". This time, we also notice that we can spend quite a while with flying around in over 20 fighting arena's. Next to the usual mountains and plains, well known from the series, there will also be a number of new stages to fight in, for example, Frieza's spaceship. Perhaps even more interesting is the new day/night system. Of course we know that this element is of great importance in the series, seeing as certain fighters can transform into giant apes by looking at the full moon, but this is the first time we will see this feature included in a DBZ fighting game. This feature however, is only accessible for a limited amount of characters who have a tail, and when full moon is present. Is is not yet known what the producer will create as an alternative for the characters who don't have a tail.

It should be self explanatory that when you transform into a great ape, there will be whole lot of new abilities that become available. Not only will you get access to spectacular new attacks, but it is also apparent that your fighter becomes a whole lot stronger than before. About fighters, the counter has obviously not stopped after the second installment as Spike plans to include 150 characters in Tenkaichi 3. A few new characters have already been revealed to us, King Cold (Frieza and Cooler's father), King Vegeta (Vegeta's dad), and Nail (a Namek who fused with Piccolo). Tenkaichi 3 will also have 3 completely new characters, that were created solely for this game. Who these characters are, is not yet known.

What we do know however, is the addition of an "original" story, that will partially feature the new characters, and also a mysterious meteor (in Japan the game has been given the subtitle "Meteor"). How this plot will unveal is not yet certain, but it is certainly a welcome addition to the somewhat ancient DBZ storyline that we have went through eight times on the Playstation 2 DBZ games. Despite all these new additions however, there are still some concerns amongst us, because the so called "original" storylines as seen in the Shin Budokai series, available on the PSP, can be considered as uninspired, and above all, boring.

Grafically speaking, it does't seem like Spike will make major improvements this time, but this is not surpising considering the first two Tenkaichi games already pushed the PS2 and the Wii to their max. Better just count on enormous explosions, fast transformations and destructive environments, in which it's not unusual that complete buildings, and mountains will crumble under the destructive attacks of the DBZ characters.

Information about the multiplayer mode, and maybe a possible online mode is still not given. But the addition of the 30 new characters, consisting of three original ones, and the day/night cyclus will give the DBZ fanatic more than enough reason to anxiously look forward to this new installment. You can expect more information about Tenkaichi 3 in the following months to come, on InsideGamer until the game will be released somewhwre around winter time 2007. For more informarion you can check the profile section of the game, and for more images be sure to check out image gallery.
