 Welcome to the Canvas Clan! We are a clan that specialises in Graphic Designing. History of the Canvas Clan The Canvas Clan was first opened on the 26th of November 2007, and lasted 6 full threads, then it died on the 5th of March 2008, and got revived a week later, then HALO left Neoseeker for a while so I started running the clan on my own for a period of time, then HALO returned again and created a clan site. Ever since the revival we've made 4 full threads, so we have been around for a while, and have had may ups and downs, but they just make us even stronger as a clan! Clan Rules
CanvasPoints - New Rank System CanvasPoints is all about getting EXP to go higher in the ranks. To gain EXP, submit graphics for the clan or any to do with Pokemon, contribute to the clan, ect... Here are the ranks you get depending on how many points you have: Rank: Newcomer - EXP: 0 Rank: Apprentice - EXP: 2 Rank: Small Stripes - EXP: 5 Rank: Bright Brusher - EXP: 15 Rank: Swift Strokes - EXP: 30 Rank: Precise Painter - EXP: 50 Rank: Amazing Artist - EXP: 100 Rank: Graphics Guru - EXP: 500 Rank: Graphics Expert - EXP: 750 Rank: Master Artist - EXP: 1000 You get a certain amount of EXP depending on what graphics you post, here is the list of points you can get for each graphic: The Graphics must have something to do with Pokemon though, since this is a Pokemon based Forum we're in. Sprites = 1 EXP point each Userbars = 1 EXP point each Clan Userbars = 5 EXP points each (Only if they are good looking) Avatars = 1 EXP point each Clan Avatars = 5 EXP points each (Only if they are good looking) Banners = 5 EXP points each (Only if they are good looking) Clan Banners = 10 EXP points each (Only if they are good looking) Tutorials = 15 EXP points each (Only if they are understandable) Trainer Cards = 2 EXP points each (Only if they are good looking) Fanart = 5 EXP points each (Only if they are good looking) Important Clan Contributions (Help with the Clan Site, profile or anything like that) = 20 EXP points each (Depends on the contribution) This ranking system does not apply to the leaders. NEWS  Canvas Clan Open Canvas Festival 08 The Canvas Clan is hosting its very own 4 day event and this time were gonna do it with the community of the forum. Basic Layout Day 1 - Graphics. Show them off. Create something for the occasion. Have comparisons. More explanation soon. Day 2 - Battling. Show the community what you've really got, count your wins and see if you can go for a personal best. Even I'm dusting off my DS to participate. Doubt I'll be any good though. Day 3 - Trading. Open up your own mini shops and offer pokemon for trade. Be generous. Give a few to the needy. Like me! Day 4 - Compotition/Ceremonies. Graphics and Battling Tournaments for all to enter. Winners will recieve a very rare pokemon. Possibly the upcoming PKMN Mystery Dungeon Tour Darkrai, which I will be attending to get the event. So thats pretty much the basic layout. More detail soon. Canvas Clan Open Canvas Festival 08 Update Just gonna point out a few things quickly. If you want to help supervise the event in any way in any category, PM me. If you help organize the categories you can still take part in them but any participants cannot judge. If you want to be a judge, keep in mind that you will not be able to participate in the category you are judging. Also, we are planning for it to happen over a long weekend, preferably from Thursday to Sunday. Just to make it clear, here will be sub categories in the graphics day, such as fan art, banners, avatars and others.
