*facepalm*
Read it again...

Hmm...I've decided that I might want to restart my game soon, and I was wondering what a good grass type is for the beginning of the game, without starting off with a grass starter.

Hmmm. Interesting. Since when is Oddish a starter?

re: A good grass type.

I'll take it from here.

*double facepalm*

Oddish isn't a starter! And the first place Oddish is able to be recruited is Apple Woods, which isn't that close to the beginning. Tangela seems a good option, since it's the first grass type you're able to recruit, except if you're a grass starter, or you revisit the dungeon's you've completed after you're able to recruit.

re: A good grass type.

Actually Oddish is preety good.
And Apple Woods is the 5th Dungeon, just after Waterfall Cave.
P.S. Tangela sucks..

THANK YOU!
At least someone here can read and understand!
I'll run this by everyone on last time in simple terms:

He wants a non-starter grass type close to beginning of game!

Everyone got that?

re: A good grass type.

Tangela is a great option, it has good movesets and agility. ^^
