As it seems there are a few people giving pointers on how to make the game interesting and challenging, I thought it would be best to throw them into one area rather than have them scattered about.

I give you a real challenge: "The True Pacifist Challenge"

There are actually few places in the game where killing is absolutely necessary and those can be done with a follower.
The only thing YOU ever kill is that Radroach as a 10 year old.

Hmm, this might actually be a challenge that truly is A CHALLENGE. Maybe I just intrigued myself to play this game one more time... maybe...

I like to keep my challenges simple.

You're not allowed to wear anything, under any circumstances. That's it.

I call it the Paris Hilton Challenge.

To be honest, both those threads i made were about trying to make the game more immersive and realistic... in real life you wouldnt be able to carry more than a few guns or stimpaks, and you wouldnt fight a flamethrower wielding robot face to face... the deactivating thing is really cool cos its like you sneak up and cut there wires or something... more realistic

Yeah i find the game gets dull once i dont fear being out in the wastes, why should i with 50 stimpaks and an arsenal of weapons? theres no incentive to SURVIVE.

I had the EXACT same complaints about oblivion and had the same rules when playing that (no local map, carry whats realistic etc..)

SJ Edit: Although I agree with you to a certain extent about realism, point of these games are NOT to be realistic, that's why you can roam around a post apocalyptic wasteland 200 years in the future that is in fact a parallel reality based in the 1950's with sci-fi technology However survival is the reason I agree with you...Fallout 3 compared to other games gives you the need to survive but the actual game needs tweaking slightly for the ultimate sensation

heres a new STEALTH challenge.

Make it to smiling jack in evergreen mills.

WITHOUT BEING SEEN and without killing anyone.

enter evergreen mills via traintracks, not cliffs.

no stealth boys allowed.

if you are seen once, you fail.

ok first of all i accept the paris hilton challenge and the stealth challenge (both old and new) and i have set my own chalenge for you all to try and i am going to do it myself

simmilar to the new stealth challenge :

sneak up on the sniper at mine field without stealth boys and kill him with a single melee attack

attempt this with any melee wheapon
unnarmed or melee weapons skill related ie deathclaw gauntlet, shishkebab ect

do this with any level of skill

Challenge Rules:
No armor, No Guns, No Explosives. Only weapons you can use are Melee, only clothes you can wear must be dark, (shirts/pants) NO ARMOR. Only health items you can use, you must find, no buying, major cities do not exist.

If you can make it 5 hours played without dieing once, you win.

il start the challenge outside wault 101 when i first get out il prob specialise in sneak, melee weapons, and medicine

ps does ya skill in medicine affect the affectiveness of the food u get from animals

Nope! Regular food and bloodpacks give the same regardless of medicine skill. The Food Sanitizer improves it slightly though.

The whole game on some variant of the Ninja Challenge would be nice. Like: Very Hard, Only Melee, No Followers, No Armour, No Shopping.

I'm doing the True Pacific Challenge by the way. It will take a while I guess.
