Dogmeat has just died in my ps3 Fallout 3 game. Can I get hold of another dog? If so, how?

There's rumors of a Perk that comes with one of the DLC's that gives you another dog once Dogmeat dies.

i already knew about the perk but still, its nice to have. the reason i dont have dogmeat is cause he thought id be a good idea to take on 3 tesla armored enclave troopers right after i got the firelance and all of its ammo. hes not worth a firelance...
