I have never played the other Fallout games, do I need to in order to understand this one? And this game has RPG elements, but how? Is it an FPS with RPG elements, or what? Please let me know. I am really looking for a new game...I just finished BioShock. I have just recently started playing games I wouldn't usually, FPSs being one of those genres.

Well erm, basically i'd never played any Fallout games either, i got this and wished i had, i loved it within about 15 minutes of playing on it, and its been my favourite game ever since.

New story, though there are references to the older games and some returning characters (which play no big role in the main story) so nothing really big.

It has some shooter elements and some RPG elements to it, an attraction to the game for some people is V.A.T.S. you don't need to use it all the time though, some people don't even use it at all.

If I were you I'd buy the game, its probably given me around 200 hours of game play on 3 characters.

Unless you know what your doing the first few levels will be probably difficult for you, with you dying quite a bit, but as progress it becomes easier and easier, until most of the difficulty is thrown out the window, unless you want to play on higher difficulty settings.

There's allot of places to explore a bunch of things to discover and some interesting charters you'll meet along the way.

Though if you can I'd wait for the Game of the Year Edition (its coming out for the PS3 too, I think) which has all Add-ons, and if you computer can run Fallout 3 I'd get if for the Computer.

Are there going to be more expansions released? And how much is the normal version, and how much is the GotY version? USD?

There will be a total of five expansion packs.

Getting the GotY edition will be the cheaper one in the long run, if you want all five dlc packs. But it won't be released until October.

If you're impatient (like me), you can buy the normal edition now, and by the dlc as it is released in the PS Store.

How much is each expansion? And how much is the game on retail right now?

The dlc will be $10 US (about 8 euros) each. I'll check out the retail prices in a while.

I'm lookin to buy this game but it looks like i'll be waiting for game ofthe year edition. I'm not about to spend 50 bucks on DLC.

I've played Oblivion and have watched alot of videos of this and I'm just curious does the free roaming world work somewhat like oblivion?
