Once you get to Level 20... |
|
... is that really the highest you can go? What about getting all stats to 99 and buying all perks, and the XP you are supposed to get by finishing quests? Is is really the highest you can go?

You aren't meant to buy all the perks. You're meant to decide which ones you want.
You can get all your skills to 100 though. I'm on that road now with my newest character. 20 is the highest you can go until they release the Broken Steel DLC, where the level cap is raised to 30. ------------------- ![]() THERE IS NO LIFE AFTER COLD CHISEL GreaterAjax :PSN-XBL: DynamicAjax

Ajax, you don't get whatever experience you earned while stuck at 20 for Broken Steel correct?
Like for any quests that I did and didn't receive the xp for, I won't receive it in the DLc? ------------------- ![]() quote Veggi

Nope. Unfortunately, all the XP you earn from here to Broken Steel means nothing.

So level 30 is the max with the dlcs? or in other ones does it continue to grow?

It stops at 30. The only way it can go over is on the PC by user-made mods, which rock. I plan to get The Pitt and Point Lookout but I guess I'll have to get Broken Steel just to raise my level.
In honesty, I don't know TOO much about all the DLC packs, so I'll have a read up of them when they EVENTUALLY get on the PSN and who knows... I may even buy them all. ![]() ------------------- ![]() Mouth, Loaded, with-a GUN!

I just like how Bethesda likes to classify a game as an RPG an the level cap is 20. Seriously have the makers ever played an actual RPG? 99 in some cases is to little and they decided 20 is good. To me it shows a lack of knowing the RPG community.
All they had to do is make the perk selection at say every 7 levels. And make the damage go up slower, or preferably make the enemies harder. I mean people who played Star Ocean: The Second Story should know what I'm talking about. That game had a level cap of 256 which was nearly impossible to get too unless you used the optional dungeon right near the end of the game. And because of that to this day that is still the RPG in my collection that has received the most play time. 3 or 4 play throughs on the PS1 each contain roughly 500 hours each time and now I'm also playing it again on the PSP. Don't get me wrong I love Fallout and Oblivion and I plan on buying all the DLC for Fallout, however the Vegas game will get a pass from me unless they do something about the level caps. -------------------

Vegas is from a different dev.
But seriously, saying they don't understand the RPG market is going way too far. Morrowind alone shows they understand what an RPG is. But alas, they could have made it harder than it is to reach 20.

Really bugs me how a friend on the pc version has his guy at level 44, he told me about some mod that raised the level max to 50.
