hi guys, 9 times out of 10 when i go for a header it goes over the bloody bar, ive tried pretty much everything! just wondering if im the only 1 and is there anything u guys can suggest?

Nope. They have really buggered up the headers on this game. I have given up. I hope to god FIFA 09 is a big improvment.

I can understand your frustration, heading on this game is bad bordering on the ridiculous. It's beyond ridiculous actually. Yesterday I crossed into the box to an unmarked striker in front of an open goal... and he headed it clean over the bar.

Compare that to another game when one my strikers gets the weakest header ever on target and the keeper struggles to save it, allowing me to dink the ball in. It doesn't make sense. It was one of those glancing headers, but it had so little power on it it the keeper shouldn't have struggled, yet I got a goal out of it.

For headers being so monumentally rubbish, I now mostly try to cross the ball low and hope one of my strikers can latch onto it. The only time I do really try to have a crack is on corners if the box is too crowded for a low ball.

I'm fine with headers on my game.

Maybe you guys just aren't very good. Lol.

cheers matt lol! i play pro evo aswell and headers are fine on there but i spose pro evo has its drawbacks aswell like through balls and stuff like that. thanks anyway guys much appreciated

The trick is to move your player just befoe you make contact with the ball and just tap shoot this should increase the chance of putting it in the onion bag.

Don't worry. Whenever i go to header the ball it bounces off in completely the wrong direction! I mean, do these actually represent real professional footballers or are they just a load of dickheads who couldn't pinpoint an elephant in the middle of a line up of ants???
